EB24 about TFT – Patch 12.3 analysis by AceOfSpades

Hello fellow TFT players! My name is AceofSpades and today I bring you the new Patch 12.3 rundown for TFT! The meta will not shift much at this point as the devs are focused on PBE and the mid-set update.  However there are certain changes do stand out:

1. Knife’s Edge nerfed by 5 damage at golden tier, will make Yone/Urgot and Shaco comps a bit worse.

2. No nerfs for Innovators. They will remain the dominant comp for the rest of the set Seraphine #1.

3. Thrill of the Hunt buffs will make it a good choice for the early game, which is much better than Celestial blessing at this stage.

Best comps for 12.3

I will now bring you my top 5 picks for comps of 12.3

Innovators

The best comp in the game goes untouched in this patch. Both 5 and 7 Innovators versions are really good. Either Orianna or Seraphine carry is viable, often both!

Starting Item: Tear

Arcanist

Early game: Play Yordles and use Twisted Fate as item holder. Remember to build at least 2 items for Vex or you will have no frontline.

It’s very easy to play and SSS tier, opening with Yordles will make the transition to this comp really easy. Lux is also a lot less contested than other AP comps that need Seraphine and Orianna.

Starting items: Tear

Urgot

Early game: Innovators and Ezreal with Hurricane is a very good opener. Or, you could use Trundle and Bruisers.

Really solid comp, and starting with Hurricane, you can flex Shaco and Yone if you are not hitting your chemtechs.

Starting item: Bow

Shaco

Early game: Twitch or Shaco 1 with Syndicate opener and building LW/IE first.

SSS tier comp below master. Just Shaco 2 star is often enough for a top 4, Akali can be a

possible late-game bomb if 2*. Overall really solid comp and doesn’t get nerfed this patch.

Starting item: Bow

Kog’Maw

Early game: open fort and roll downstage 3-2 till you hit Kog’Maw 2* and 2* your frontline, then slow roll till all 3*.

No matter how many times this comp has been nerfed, it’s still meta and an amazing option if you open with a few Kassadins.

Starting item: Bow

So, this is it for the TFT Patch 12.3! What are your most picked comps? Will you try any of the ones mentioned above? If yes, tell us how it went on our social media below. We’re always super excited to hear from our community! Stay tuned for more content and events from us!
