FC 27 Cheapest Players by Rating: Price Ladder 2026

FC 27 Cheapest Players by Rating: Price Ladder 2026

In EA FC 27 the cheapest card at each rating costs about 650 to 700 coins from 81 to 84 overall, then jumps to roughly 1,900 coins at 85, 4,000 at 86 and 10,000 at 88. These are the lowest prices listed on FUT.GG's cheapest-by-rating page on 15 October 2026. Prices move every hour, so treat them as a snapshot and check the live market before you buy.

  • 81 to 84 rated cards: 650 to 700 coins at the bottom of the market.

  • The first big step is 84 to 85: the floor price roughly triples.

  • From 88 upwards the price ladder gets steep, with 89 at 17,000 and 90 at 27,750.

  • Cheapest does not mean best: the lowest-priced card at a rating is often an obscure position or a women's league card.

The FC 27 price ladder: cheapest card at each rating

The table shows the lowest listed price per rating on 15 October 2026, with the card that held that spot. One 88 rated listing showed 750 coins, which looks like an odd or stale listing, so I left it out and used the next cheapest 88 instead.

Why the 84 to 85 jump matters

Between 81 and 84 the floor barely moves: 650 coins at 81, 82 and 83, and 700 at 84. At 85 the cheapest card costs 1,900 coins, and at 86 it is 4,000. If a squad building challenge asks for a high team rating, the expensive part is almost always the last few rating points, not the bulk of the squad.

That is useful when you plan fodder. Cards at 81 to 84 are close to free relative to a starting balance, while the price climbs steeply with every point above 85, from 4,000 coins at 86 to 10,000 at 88.

How to spend a small budget

  1. Check the position first. A 650 coin card in a position you do not play is worthless to you, whatever its rating.

  2. Buy the 83 to 84 band for depth. It is the cheapest rating range that still gives you a squad that holds up in everyday matches.

  3. Save for 85 and 86 only where you need them. One or two cards in your key positions, not a full lineup.

  4. Do not chase the top. A single 90 rated card costs more than the entire 81 to 87 ladder combined.

Judge a cheap card by pace, position stats, PlayStyles and Role, not only the overall number. The rating on the card is just the starting point.

Where the coins come from

New accounts start with a small balance, so the fastest way to a decent squad is buying coins instead of grinding for them. Before you do, read our guide on how buying FC 27 coins works and which delivery method is safer, and know what carries over from FC 26 to FC 27 so you do not spend what you already have.

If you prefer to pay with a voucher or platform credit, our explainer on top-ups, gift cards and in-game currency shows what each one actually buys. Buying coins can go against the publisher's terms, so choose a reputable marketplace and keep your account details private.

FAQ

What is the cheapest rating I can buy in FC 27?

On 15 October 2026 the cheapest listed cards at 81, 82 and 83 overall all cost 650 coins.

Why does the price jump so much at 85?

The floor moves from 700 coins at 84 to 1,900 coins at 85. I could not verify why, so treat it as an observed pattern, not a rule.

Are cheap cards worth playing?

Yes, if the position and PlayStyles fit. Rating alone says little about how a card plays.

Do these prices stay the same?

No. The market changes constantly, so recheck prices before every purchase. This post needs a refresh as the season moves on.

Is it safe to buy FC 27 coins?

It carries risk and can break the publisher's rules. Read our coins safety guide linked above before you decide.
