Choose How You Want to Coach

No Deadlock coach here is boxed into one teaching style. Once approved you choose the formats your profile offers, and students book whichever matches the thing they are stuck on, a lost lane or a thrown Walker push.

Live sessions

You play with the student or talk them through their games live.

  • Lane matchups, last hits and souls denial in real time
  • Live calls on rotations, objectives and teamfight timing
  • Best for students who lose lanes they should win
  • The format most students book first

Replay reviews

You break down a submitted match on your own schedule.

  • Student sends a match, you return a structured review
  • You work asynchronously, on your own hours
  • Best for fixing repeated item build and rotation mistakes
  • Scales well if your schedule is unpredictable

Long term plans

Several sessions with one stated goal and practice in between.

  • Multi session packages with a stated goal
  • Hero pool, build paths and souls economy routines
  • Best for students climbing toward Oracle or Eternus
  • Highest repeat rate of the three formats

Teaching Pays Longer Than Grinding Does

A player earns from the games they win. A coach earns from the games their students go on to win, which is why coaching income holds up even when your own ranked climb slows down. EB24 runs the student side for you: booking, payment, refunds and the review system. You handle the lesson. Coaches with strong reviews surface higher in the Deadlock coaching listings and get booked without ever advertising.

How Deadlock Coaching Works at EB24

Five steps take you from application to first paid session, and every one of them runs through the platform rather than through private messages.

1

Send the coach application The form asks for your peak and current ranked standing, the heroes and roles you specialise in, your languages and any teaching or competitive history you have.

2

Pass the knowledge review Rank matters, and so does the ability to explain it. An Eternus player who cannot say why a fight was lost on souls is a weaker candidate than a Phantom player who can.

3

Build your coaching profile Your profile states the formats you offer, your hero pool, your languages and your availability. It goes live in the Deadlock coaching listings where students browse.

4

Get booked and run the session Students book the slot themselves. Match IDs, replays and everything you agree move through the order chat, which keeps a record for both sides.

5

Collect the payout and the review A finished session credits your EB24 balance, and the student review lands on your profile, where it decides how often next month bookings come in.

Why EB24

A Place Coaches Keep Coming Back To

Coaching careers usually fail on admin, not on teaching. The four things below are taken off your plate here.

Students find you

No audience required. Students land on the coaching listings and filter by hero, role, language and format, so what competes is your profile, and a sharp specialisation beats a big following every time.

Deadlock Coaching Career

How to Become a Deadlock Coach

In one sentence: show you understand Deadlock at a high level, show you can put that understanding into words, and let the platform handle the students. In five steps, it looks like this, and none of them start with building an audience.

The five steps in detail

1. Decide what you actually teach

A coach who only says they coach Deadlock converts worse than one who coaches Haze and Grey Talon laning for Sentinel to Oracle players. Choose the narrow skill where you outperform your rank, whether that is laning, souls control, item builds or teamfights.

2. Get your proof in order

Ranked history, competitive results and, if you have them, past students or clips that show how you explain things. This is what the review reads first.

3. Apply through the form

One form, one review. An interview stage rarely happens, though a vague answer on the form will draw a follow up question.

4. Write a profile that explains why you

Formats, heroes, roles, languages, availability. Those are the filter fields students search on, and a vague profile gets scrolled past no matter how strong the coach behind it is.

5. Run the first sessions properly

Your opening run of reviews sets up your next three months. Turn up on time, leave the student one habit they can practise in their next match, and follow up in the order chat.

What you never have to do

Finding clients, chasing payments and fighting over refunds are all off your plate. Students arrive through the coaching listings and EB24 holds the payment in escrow until the session is delivered.

Deadlock Coach Requirements

A high rank does not make a coach by itself, and neither does teaching talent with no rank behind it. The review reads both.

What we look for

  • Oracle or above, or competitive results that say the same thing. Applicants under that bar can still pass on the strength of their teaching
  • A specialisation you can name in one sentence: laning, souls economy, item builds, rotations or a specific hero like Lady Geist or The Doorman
  • The ability to explain a decision instead of just telling a student to play better
  • English or another widely spoken language, solid enough to run a lesson in
  • Hours you will genuinely keep, because a cancelled session hurts your profile more than any lost match

Common reasons applications stall

  • A peak from long ago with no recent ranked play
  • No named specialisation, leaving the review unable to tell which students you serve
  • Open ended availability with no concrete hours attached
  • Bans or competitive restrictions on the accounts submitted as proof

If your rank is not there yet, there are other ways to earn on Deadlock at EB24, such as the Deadlock seller track. You can come back to coaching once your ranked record fills out.

What a Deadlock Coaching Session Looks Like

A student brings you a symptom, not a diagnosis. Falling behind by midgame can mean a lost lane, a poor souls lead, the wrong build or late rotations. Your job is to find the real cause, turn it into one habit, then verify it stuck.

The three formats in practice

Live session

Lane practice with commentary, or live calls while the student plays ranked. The fastest format to show results. Limit yourself to a few themes per session instead of narrating every fight.

Replay review

You review a match and return a structured breakdown. You fit it into your own hours, and the student keeps something they can rewatch later. Timestamped notes on souls, item timings and objective calls like the Walker are what students value most.

Multi session plan

A stated goal across several weeks, with hero and build practice between sessions. No format retains students better, and none produces stronger reviews.

Where it happens

Bookings, match IDs and messages all live in the order chat, while voice runs on whatever tool you and the student pick. If a dispute ever comes, that on platform trail is your protection.

Students often look at other services alongside coaching, for example Deadlock rank boosting. Knowing the whole range of EB24 services is part of keeping a student long term.

How Deadlock Coaches Get Paid

You set your own prices, and three numbers set a coach income: the rate you charge, how often you get booked, and how often students return. EB24 influences all three, but returning students are the lever in your own hands.

What drives the number

  • Session format. A multi session plan is a rarer booking worth several single reviews
  • Reviews. Consistent ones make a profile book itself, with no promotion needed
  • Specialisation. A named niche charges more than generalist coaching at the same rank
  • Hero coverage. Students who main a specific hero look for a coach who plays it well
  • Availability. Slots posted in the hours your student pool actually plays get filled

Completed sessions credit your EB24 balance, withdrawable with your configured method, and since the student money sat in escrow the whole time, an unpaid lesson cannot happen. General payout questions are answered in the platform FAQ, and the cooperation rules sit in the terms of service.
