The way Challenge works is by its Token. This is a unique icon that represents a challenge and its current rank. Tokens are at the center of each Challenge Card and are listed by name and what it needs for completion. You can equip up to three tokens, which are displayed on your profile and in the Lobby and Loading screens.

EB24 #3 Boosters Thoughts - Vision and wards: Where to place and why? [PART 2]

The blog post will talk about the positioning of wards on the Bot Lane, does it really matter? “I don’t buy wards. I need my items, my support will do it.” - Is this a myth or a fact?

These are the 2 most frequent questions when talking about support and about warding. On this blog post, we will be answering to them and explaining why that's the correct answer and also you will learn where and how to create vision.

"SUPPORT BUY WARDS, I NEED ITEMS!" If such words are said by your AD Carry, you already know that this will be a hard game. Let's start with the fact that on the bot lane, you are playing as 2 against 2 enemies, not as one like on Mid or Top. (Although sometimes it feels like you are playing alone versus 2 on the bot lane...)

Vision in the game can change everything. Imagine, minions are in the middle of the lane, you have to ward literally everywhere if the enemy jungler is in the bush you simply have to wait for him to leave and place a ward until the one you have expires. What was all this waiting for? The Enemy jungler lost time and everyone on your team knows where he is and perhaps your jungler and invade the enemy's jungler or gank the top safely because the enemy jungler won't be there.

When playing on the red side of the map, you have to place vision, that on the first levels/early game is very similar to the blue side team. However, there are a few spots different between the blue and red side.


WARDS WHEN LANE IS 50/50 [1]

At first glance, you can see wards in your tri-bush. You must always have a ward in this place! This is very important because, for example, you carried out a fight on your lane and want to step back. Having a ward on this place, you know if you can go back under your tower or you have to run away, next. Another example is the situation in which the opposing team starts to push lightly, having wards on your own tri-bush, you will know if the enemy jungler is waiting to make a tower dive or maybe the enemy team wants to go back. That's why I recommend you to place a control ward in this place or even combinate control + trinket in the same place  (When jungler or even enemy bot destroys your control ward, you don't have to face check because you have the normal ward). However, I do not recommend placing a control ward in the enemy tri-bush if the lane is 50/50, because you will lose the ward very quickly. But the best place to put a control ward it's on the bot lane river bush, your own tri-bush, and the pixel bush. This way as soon as you start pushing your jungler can do the perfect counter gank / lane gank. When the gameplay does not go as you would like. You must react quickly and start placing vision on our lower jungle. Thanks to this, you will prevent the enemy team from further killing you or your jungler. It is very important to remember this! On the attached graphics we have a whole lot of wards in the lower jungle. Also, remember to put wards on the river! Then we see if the enemy jungler takes any buffs. We know when he comes in and when he leaves our jungle. You can kill him, make a dragon, use your opponent's mistakes!

My favorite stage of the game: when we take the first tower on the bottom lane. We have several scenarios:
a) Swap with the top laner and try to take the top tower,
b) Go as 3 on mid and push to try open the map (not the game),
c) My favorite option: Push bot lane as much as possible until the nexus and snowball through the bot lane.
 
We will focus on option C). I call this stage of the game "magic 6". We need all of these 6 wards to be safe and without any problems, you can take an inhibitor probably for free. Of course, that is thanks to the magical 6, you'll have excellent vision control. You'll see if someone is coming and trying to kill you and/or your team. With all these wards, you'll be able to escape safe and sound.


WARDS WHEN YOU ARE LOSING LANE [3]

And now the worst possible scenario for the red team: When you play on the red team and you are losing the lane. You have to control your jungle all the time. How many times has the enemy jungler dived you? How many times has the enemy Zed/Katarina/Talon comes and kill you? Remember this: you are a team which means you play as 5 people. And this vision will help you avoid the familiar scenario when your mid laner does not ping "SS" or when the 0/2 enemy assassin comes to bot and strikes along with the enemy bot lane. He kills you twice on the bot and suddenly the game is over because you can not even farm safely... Having a good vision control on the map will make you know when to help your mid your laner on his lane. And you can easily go through your jungle without worrying if someone is waiting to kill you.

Even though we already exist for years, we are still developing a lot of new features and we know that a Loyalty Program is a feature that basically every e-commerce shops tend to have and during the development of the website we thought it would be a great idea, right? Well it was, we implemented it straight away without even thinking straight on the concept... A few months later we've realized that the only thing our Loyalty Program does is make consumers collect points like there's no tomorrow for a little discount extra. Well... Sorry, we actually thought this feature was crucial for the efficiency of our website... Guess it wasn't that simple...



We've been receiving feedback from our customers about this feature and we know something is not right about it and we want to announce a change on it.



As you know, the old system of Loyalty Points works like the image below. [1]

When you are on the blue side of the map, your goal is to provide vision for your lane and aswell for your team. This is why there should be wards around the map. Vision on the river is very important as it can tell you if the enemy jungler is doing the scuttle crab or if they are doing Dragon.



WARDS WHEN LANE IS 50/50 [2]

Depending on how the lane is going, if you getting pushed in or pushing. Maybe you want to place a control ward in your lane. But you should always keep in mind where you should place the ward because otherwise the enemy bot lane or jungler will easily be able to destroy it, and you wasted gold and now don't have more control wards. 

You should always place a ward on the bushes in the lane, especially if you are playing against an engage supports because engage supports usually hide in the bush and try to engage on you from the bushes.

Blue side bot lane has more locations to ward compared to the red side, because of the map structure, which makes you have more bushes in your favor than the opposite team.

As you are ahead that means you are winning against the enemy's bot lane and probably you are pushing the lane into the enemy's turret. Even when winning, you should always ward because it will protect you from roams from the mid laner or ganks from the jungler when you are overextending (pushing the lane for a big period of time).

Control wards should be placed in the bushes on the enemy's jungle, the normal trinket wards can be placed everywhere like on the image above. These wards will give you enough time to react if someone comes to your lane. The places showed on the image are the best especially when you are already on the second turret of the enemy team and if someone is coming, you have more than time to react and escape.




WARDS WHEN YOU ARE LOSSING LANE [4]

As you can see on the image above, we have wards in bot side jungle as well as on the river. You always need to put wards on the river, this way you can see if the enemy's mid laner or jungler is coming to gank you. When you are behind, you don't need to place many control wards because the enemy team can easily destroy them and you won't be able to contest when they are destroying it. That's the reason why we use a trinket ward instead of a control one because it can be more useful and you won't have to waste gold.

When you starting to win the laning phase, you want to have the maximum vision control as possible even in the enemy's jungle. It will help you see if someone is coming (enemy's mid or jungler) to your lane.

EB24 #1 Boosters Thoughts - Jungler

Do you want to learn the current state of the jungle without paying or watching any 30 min videos? If your answer is yes you are reading the right article by a high elo booster who boosts since S6. Let's start with the most picked champs by the percentage below diamond:

- LEE SIN
First one comes with Lee Sin %11.54 pick rate in all the junglers. This surprised me actually because Lee Sin is both hard in micro and macro level of the game and this is a well-known fact but still people are trying to play it. But in high elo he is viable he has very good sustain and clear speed also he has good runes that fit him(electrocute, conqueror).

- KAYN

The second pick is Kayn %8.56 pick rate in all junglers with %51,20 win rate which is insanely high. Below diamond, there are 2 reasons behind it. First one is Kayn is very buffed right now. He has %130 AD ratio on his W and %175 ad ratio on his R. Which is the core abilities for his most powerful form: Assassin Kayn. His assassin form was already op in high elo because most of the people in low elo has NO idea about assassin Kayn's potential. He can kill/harass you without even being seen. Also with his new e buff, he can stay in a wall without being seen about 9 seconds. It's really hard to play against it and it pressures the whole enemy team. Just imagine, an assassin who cannot be seen about 9 seconds with no counterplay material in the game expect stopwatch. Those are the reasons made Kayn overpowered in the jungle.

- JARVAN IV
Last champ is Jarvan IV with %7.56 pick rate. Although he has %49.24 win rate I really think he is very good in every elo. The best thing about Jarvan is his flexibility. He has good early game, decent enough ratios, utility and a game-changing ultimate. He can be played as a tank bruiser and assassin in the jungle. He has no big counter picks in the jungle and easy to play and hard to play against.


CURRENT STATE OF THE JUNGLE

In season 9 jungle shifted to a more utility based role due to nerf to jungle camps. the only reason you see carry champions like Rek'Sai in the jungle it'snot because they are good in the jungle but they are unbalanced. They are both unmatched in clear speed, sustain and dueling and both have good keystones. Amumu, Sejuani, Rammus are superior in low elo and should be played. About the XP nerfs and possible routes; I like to go with Red/Krugs/Razorbacks then blue its the most efficient route you can do because it resets the %30xp penalty on Krugs. Wolfs and gromp give %50 XP compared to Krugs and Razorback. And the last detail is the scuttle spawn time. They changed scuttle spawn time to 3:15 which is a direct buff to level 3 junglers like Amumu, Sejuani and a direct nerf to level 2 junglers like Xin'Zhao, Pantheon.

IMPACT ON THE GAME

Jungle role has the third most impact in the game after mid/AD. Mid is always the most impactful role and also it affects the junglers in every way. If you have a winning mid you already won the jungle no doubt. It's so easy to play around a winning mid as a jungler. The only reason that ad has more impact than jungle is all the jungle champions can't do anything against any decent ad player. They need one decent teammate to win the game.

POSSIBLE SECONDARY PICKS

- KHA ZIX
With 2 seconds of stealth, he is still a decent assassin and an okay jungler. His jungle clear speed and early game are weak compared to other junglers but he is still ok in mid-late game than other carry junglers. Evolve order should be R/W/E.R has 2 seconds of stealth and low cooldown. You can escape wards with R.W has %90 slow and it's easy to hit. You can even poke the enemy with constant your W because they cannot reach you no matter what with that slow.

- VI
Has very good sustain/early game clear with decent base stats. Also uses aftershock which is fantastic for a secondary pick. Problem with vi is she has a lot of counter plays/counter picks. She only works against low damage team comps(Tank jungler, Burst mid, bruiser top, Roaming support, Hyper carry ADCS). Her early and mid game is almost powerful as Rek'Sai so any late-game ADC can't even scratch her. Also with her passive, she is unburstable.

IMPACT ON THE CHALLENGER LADDER

The jungle has the second most impact on a high ladder. The high ladder is not solo queue. After 600 LP EUW, most of the players play the game like a scrim. They write flash timers, they don't tilt/fflame,c. In a proper game, the jungle has the second most impact because everyone must respect the role. That means that if the enemy has the better player he just can't abuse it straight up like he did in diamond 1 because in an equal game tracking jungler after minute 5 is almost impossible. That's why everyone says that jungle is unbalanced and creating memes like better jungler wins. Sadly we only see it on highest elo. In every elo,jungler should be respected for his presence.
