EB24 ABOUT TEAMFIGHT TACTICS #16 - CURRENT META ON PATCH 11.6 FROM A BOOSTER PERSPECTIVE
We didn't see too many changes with patch 11.6, most comps are still built around 4 or 3 costs as their main carry units. Only big difference compared to the previous patch is that we see more Keepers being played, but in general the meta seems very healthy and balanced.
Comps to run in Patch 11.6
Xayah-Kennen 6 Keepers

When to go?
The first carousel you don't depend on any component in specific, this comp can use almost anything. Large rod for Morello, BF sword for Guardian Angel, Crit gloves for Hand of Justice are all good. All three items are good for early game, and core items on your carry units. You want to make sure to build a strong early board and slam any of those core items. If your early-mid game is healthy you can go to LVL8 where you transition, mainly for better odds to hit Xayah-Azir-Ornn-Aatrox (synergizes with comp).
If your game is not going so well, it's completely fine to roll on LVL7 to stabilize. If you roll on LVL7, upgrade your board and try to upgrade Kennen to 3 Star, in case you don't get offered a lot of Kennen's in your shop, you can level to 8.
Note: Your win condition is usually Kennen 3 Star with Guardian Angel, Morello + one more item, Xayah with Hand of Justice - Giant Slayer + another Hand of Justice or Statikk Shiv.
Which Chosen unit to pick?
For your early game Twisted Fate Cultist is a great Chosen since he can make good use of Morello, as well Hand of Justice. You can run Cultist opening with Elise and one more Keeper unit. Cultist + Keeper with those items on Twisted Fate should secure you with a healthy early game.
On top of that this setup early makes your mid-game transitioning much easier since you already got some keeper units on your board.
For your transitioning mid-late game you are looking for Chosen Kennen or Xayah. If you roll down and hit Chosen Vanguard Aatrox you can pick it up as well, he is your last Chosen option and an important part of this comp.
7 Mages - Aurelion Sol + Annie

When to go?
The first carousel ideal start would be Large Rod or Tear. You don't mind picking up defensive components either since you will use them later on Annie. As long you can make core items for Aurelion Sol you should be fine. This comp works around two units, Annie being a super tanky front line and Aurelion Sol bursting down enemy units. Your goal is to get to LVL7 and slow roll (spend extra income above 50 gold) to upgrade your board and get Annie to 3 Star, as well Lulu if possible. Your LVL7 board should be 7 Mages + unit of choice, Braum can be used for extra front line and Dragon Soul buff. Besides core items on Aurelion and Annie, you can use Chalice on Lulu for extra ability power.
Which Chosen unit to pick?
For early game, you can either take any Chosen that can hold front line items later for Annie and create a stable board around it, or pick a Chosen that can use a Jeweled Gauntlet like Twisted Fate.
In some games, you may get Chosen Annie early, and that would be the best-case scenario for the early game, since you can keep her for the whole game.
For your mid-game LVL7 Chosen, you just want a mage so you can fit 7 mages into your comp. Annie-Lulu-Veigar or a lucky Aurelion Sol.
Enlightened - Talon + Morgana

When to go?
The first carousel pick priority should be the Crit glove or BF sword.
Infinity Edge is core for Talon, and his best damage item. Your second item can be either Hand of Justice or Last Whisper to counter Vanguard front-line comps. For your last item, you want to build Guardian Angel, since it helps you against heavy burst damage like Aurelion Sol, Neeko, or Kennen ultimates. After you secure Talon items, focus on making Morello for Morgana as she is your second carry-in comp and is one of the best Morello users in the game. This comp is usually not contested, and a bit weaker compared to some S-tier comps, but if played correctly can be really strong.
You always want to add Yone and Swain late game since they help you not to fall off late and get outscaled.
Which Chosen unit to pick?
For the early game Tristana Chosen which is amazing! She can hold Morello, Hand of Justice, and Infinity Edge. Besides Tristana you can use Fiora, and run Duelists for your early game. Late game you want to play Talon Chosen or Morgana. In games where you got both of them upgraded, you can even use Irelia Chosen.
