12.6 was a very long patch and finally 12.8 patch is here. The meta will not change! Here are some of the key things to worry about for this patch:
1. Sivir is still really op.
2. Brawlers and Chemtechs are gonna be stronger with other comps nerfed.
3. Scrap is finally getting nerfed, making Jinx a little weaker.
4. Renata buffs are pretty big, considering other builds got nerfed.
5. Poor Kha’Zix! He wasn’t even op and got nerfed!
6. Ashe reroll might be strong enough with Scrap nerfed.
Now, here come my top three picks for comps to play this patch:
Strikers Sivir
Starting item: Bow. I know, it’s a lot of bows! But it’s the best starting item as you can build either RB, GS, or Shiv. These are all good items on Sivir.
Early game: 4 hextechs is very strong and Lucian is the best carrier to use if you can. Or, you can use Nocturne to carry the items for Sivir. If you play Lucian, be sure to use Twinshots. If you play Noc, be sure to play at least 1 Assassin.
Arcanists
Starting item: Mana, AP. You can start either and build Blue, AP items/Gunblade.
Early game: Play Arcanists and Yordles/Debonair if you can. Brand is the best 1 cost now (if VIP)
For your late game, you just need to go 8 and transition to 6 or 8 Arcanist if you can. Very good comp as other things got nerfed and this comp didn’t.
Renata and the Boys
Starting item: Mana. Renata needs a blue buff. Morello and Gunblade are ideal but not mandatory.
Early game: Play bruisers and Malz if possible. Otherwise, Brand is a really good blue buff holder. This comp is really hot right now, so abuse before it gets popular.
