How the Sorcerer Plays in AION 2

The Sorcerer is the spellbook burst caster: two big Fire combos, plus Water skills for control. It is the classic glass cannon, and it plays like one.

The detail that decides whether you are a good Sorcerer is mana. Grace of Enhancement turns off below 25% MP, and with it goes a +20% PvE Damage Boost. A Sorcerer who empties the bar every pull is quietly doing far less damage than one who manages it.

How Sorcerer Builds Work on Global

On the global client, each skill costs 21 skill points to go from level 1 to 10, the Daevanion boards can push it four levels higher, and Stigma slots open at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37, with four in total. Best Sorcerer Skills to Level First

Hellfire is the signature nuke: a charged skill on a 45 second cooldown that hits four targets. Firestorm is the hidden core skill, on a 5 second cooldown, because its specializations feed Hellfire directly.

Blaze has a 5 second cooldown against targets with Fire Mark and restores 100 MP, which matters for the rule above. Frost into Frost Burst gives you control. Put your first 21 points into Hellfire, then Firestorm.

Best Sorcerer Passives

Grace of Enhancement at level 21 is the most important passive in the class. Before that, take Fire Mark and Robe of Earth, which gives +7% Max MP and +105 Critical Hit while your MP is at half or more. Absorb Essence restores MP on hit, which again protects Grace's threshold.

Best Sorcerer Stigma Order

Boss swap: for boss fights, you can trade Steel Barrier for Divine Burst and its 50 Stagger Gauge Damage.

Sorcerer Specializations

Firestorm carries the build. Its first option halves its MP cost, which protects Grace of Enhancement. Its level 12 option cuts Hellfire's cooldown by 2 seconds per fireball, so the two skills feed each other. Its level 16 option adds +15% damage per fireball, up to +75%. On Hellfire itself, the level 16 option takes 15 seconds off its cooldown.

Sorcerer Daevanion Path

Unlike most classes, the Sorcerer goes to Zikel first once it opens at level 20, because that is where the doubled Grace of Enhancement nodes sit. Then come back for Nezekan's Fire Mark and Robe of Earth pairs.

Best Sorcerer Weapon and Theostone

Use an Epic or Unique spellbook with an AoE Fire Theostone for packs. In PvP, a Seal Theostone can shut down an opponent's skills at the right moment.

Sorcerer PvP Notes

In PvP, the Sorcerer wins by bursting first and staying out of reach. Swap to a Seal Theostone, keep Steel Barrier, and use Frost into Frost Burst to control melee classes before they reach you.

Common Sorcerer Mistakes

• Draining MP below 25% and losing Grace of Enhancement's +20%.

• Skipping Firestorm's MP cost specialization.

• Pathing Nezekan before Zikel, when Zikel holds the Grace nodes.

• Expecting Korean damage numbers at global launch. The Sorcerer leans on cooldown reduction, which global players have less of early.
