Why Korean AION 2 Builds Don't Work on Global Servers
Korean AION 2 builds do not work 1:1 on global because Korea and Taiwan are on a later version of the game: a level 50 cap instead of 45, Stigma levels up to 25 instead of 20, a ninth class, and content global does not have yet. Global launched on October 5, 2026 as a separate service built on a modified Season 1, so a build written for the current Korean client can recommend skills, Stigma levels, gear and boards you cannot reach.

Why Every Guide Online Seems to Be Korean
Korea and Taiwan have been playing AION 2 since November 19, 2025. That is ten months of guides, tier lists, build planners and videos before global servers existed. When you search for a build today, most of what you find was written for that client.
That would be fine if global were a translated copy. It is not. NCSOFT described the global version as a modified version of Season 1 with a year of quality of life and balance changes folded in. It is a separate service with its own servers, progression and economy, and nothing from the Korean service carries over.
1. The Level Cap Is Different: 45 vs 50
The Chapter 1: Land of Sand and Frost update on July 1, 2026 raised the Korean level cap to 50. Global launched with a cap of 45.
Five levels sounds small. In practice it changes a lot: skill levels are gated behind character level, more Daevanion progression opens up, and Korean players earn extra Stigma materials for every level past 45. Any build that assumes a level 50 character is describing a character global players cannot make yet.
2. Stigma Works Differently
Stigma is where Korean builds break most often.
Stigma level cap: Chapter 1 raised it from 20 to 25 in Korea and added Advanced Stigma Shards. Global launched with Stigma capped at 20.
Stigma slots: global has four, opening at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37. Korean servers have more. Reports differ on the exact number, but every source agrees it is more than four.
How slots work: with Chapter 1, Korea also changed how Mastery and Stigma skills share slots.
So a Korean build that runs five or six Stigmas, or relies on a level 25 Stigma perk, simply cannot be copied. On global you have to pick the four that matter most. That is exactly why every class guide on this site gives a single Stigma order for levels 22, 27, 32 and 37.
3. Global Has 8 Classes, Not 9
Korea added a ninth class, known as the Brawler or Fistmaster, with Chapter 1. It is not part of the global launch. Any tier list or party composition that includes it does not apply to global.
4. The Same Class Can Have Different Names
This one causes more confusion than anything else.
The orb summoner is the Spiritmaster on global. English coverage of the Korean client usually calls it the Elementalist, which is its internal name in the game data. They are the same class.
Daevanion boards also appear under different names in translated guides. The global client uses names like Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel, Triniel, Ariel and Azphel, while some machine translated Korean guides use other spellings.
Skill names in Korean guides are often fan translations, so a skill may not show up under the name you searched for.
If a Korean guide tells you to level a skill you cannot find, the build may be fine and the translation is the problem. Check the skill's effect, not just its name.
5. Balance Patches Do Not Line Up
The global version inherited a year of Korean balance and quality of life changes, but it does not follow the Korean patch schedule. Korea had an April 2026 party synergy rework and a July 2026 balance pass, and coverage of the September global test reported that its class balance matched Korea from slightly earlier, not the latest Korean patch.
From here, the two versions will patch separately. A class that is strong in Korea this month may not be strong on global, and the other way around. Any tier list from Korea is a tier list for Korea.
6. Gear, Content and Economy Are Different
Content: Korea has regions, dungeons, extra Arcana cards and sets, and extra Daevanion boards from Chapter 1 that global does not have at launch.
Progression: the September global test showed different item level requirements for some dungeons, different enhancement caps and a lower pet level cap than Taiwan. Those were test settings, so treat them as a sign that progression differs, not as final numbers.
Economy: the global market is brand new. Kinah prices, material costs and what counts as expensive have nothing to do with Korean prices.
So a Korean build's gear section can point you at items, sets or stat lines that do not exist on global yet.
What Still Carries Over From Korean Guides
Korean guides are not useless. The class design is the same, so a lot of the logic transfers:
Class roles and weapons are identical.
Which skills work together usually holds. If a Korean guide says one skill shortens another skill's cooldown, that interaction is part of the kit.
Rotation logic, like opening with a debuff before you burst, carries over.
General playstyle advice for PvE and PvP stays useful.
The rule is simple: trust Korean guides for how a class works, never for the numbers.
How to Check Whether a Build Fits Global
Before you follow any build, check it against these questions:
Does it assume a level above 45?
Does it use more than four Stigmas, or Stigma levels above 20?
Does it include the Brawler or Fistmaster?
Does it call the summoner the Elementalist? If so, it is probably from the Korean client.
Does it reference Chapter 1 regions, dungeons, Arcana sets or boards?
Was it written before October 2026?
If the answer to any of these is yes, use the build for ideas, not as a checklist.
AION 2 Class Builds for Global
We wrote a build guide for each class using the global launch client, with Stigma orders that fit the four global slots:
Want to Skip Straight to the Endgame?
Global players are starting from zero, and the fourth Stigma slot does not open until level 37. If you would rather start with a developed character, the AION 2 accounts marketplace lists global accounts by region, faction, class and level from verified sellers.
Check what an account is worth first with the AION 2 account value calculator, pick up AION 2 Kinah for gear and Theostones, and read how to buy an AION 2 account if it is your first order. One tip specific to this game: check the region in the listing. Korean, Taiwanese and global accounts are separate services, and a Taiwan account will not log in to global servers.
FAQ
Can I use a Korean AION 2 build on global servers? Only partly. The class logic carries over, but the numbers do not. Korea is on a later version with a level 50 cap, Stigma level 25, more Stigma slots and a ninth class.
What is the AION 2 global level cap? 45. Korea raised its cap to 50 with the Chapter 1 update on July 1, 2026.
How many Stigma slots does AION 2 global have? Four, opening at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37.
Is the Spiritmaster the same as the Elementalist? Yes. Elementalist is the internal name used in most Korean client coverage. The global version calls the class Spiritmaster.
Is the Brawler in AION 2 global? No. The Brawler, also called the Fistmaster, was added in Korea with Chapter 1 and is not part of the global launch.
Does a Korean or Taiwan AION 2 account work on global? No. They are separate services with separate servers and progression.
