How to Make Kina in AION 2: A Practical Guide for Global Players
In AION 2 you earn Kina by playing: questing, running dungeons and bosses, gathering and crafting, and selling what you collect to other players on the Market. On a brand new global server, the fastest route is selling materials early while supply is low. Buying on the Market and using the Kina to Quna Exchange both require a paid Membership.
Quick note on spelling: the global game calls its currency Kina. Veterans of the original Aion often search for Kinah, which is the same thing.

Kina vs Quna
Kina | Quna | |
|---|---|---|
What it is | In-game currency | Premium currency |
How you get it | Playing and selling to players | Buying with real money |
What it buys | Gear upgrades, enhancing, Market purchases | Shop items, premium Daeva Pass, the Exchange |
The Exchange lets players trade Kina and Quna with each other, and NC says the game itself makes no listings or purchases there. Access to it requires Membership.
Why New Servers Are a Kina Opportunity
AION 2 global opened on October 5, 2026, with new launch servers added alongside the Early Access ones. Every new server starts with an empty, thin Market and very little Kina in circulation, so early materials sell for high prices until supply catches up.
That means the first weeks reward players who gather and sell rather than spend. Prices will swing hard while each server finds its level, and there is no reliable global price tracker yet, so watch your own server's Market rather than trusting a number online.
Ways to Earn Kina
Questing and story progress. Steady Kina while you level, and the foundation everything else builds on.
Dungeons and bosses. Drops and rewards that either pay Kina directly or give you items to sell. Weekly reset limits apply to a lot of content, so use your entries every week.
Gathering and crafting. Materials are the backbone of any MMO economy, and on fresh servers they are in short supply. Note that on the Korean service, NC restricted some gathering to level 45 after strengthening anti bot measures, so check what is open on global before planning around it.
Selling to other players. The Market is where Kina is really made. Reports differ on exactly what free players can do there, but buying requires Membership, so a large share of the buyers you are selling to will be paying members.
Membership and the Market
Special Quai Membership costs about $15 per 30 days, per server. It unlocks buying on the Market, the Kina to Quna Exchange, personal trades and remote storage. Every Founder's Pack includes 30 days of it.
If you plan to make Kina through trading, Membership is close to essential. If you only quest and run dungeons, you can skip it. Our breakdown of whether AION 2 is pay to win covers it in detail.
A Word on Buying Kina
NC has said it runs a zero tolerance policy on bots and real money trading, and buying Kina from third parties breaks its rules. If you choose to buy anyway, understand that risk, never share your login, and only buy where payment is protected and held until delivery. You can compare sellers on the AION 2 Kina marketplace.
Skip the Early Grind
If you would rather start with a geared character, the AION 2 accounts marketplace lists global accounts by region, faction, class and level, including level 45 accounts. Check a fair price with the AION 2 account value calculator and read how to buy an AION 2 account first.
