Deadlock plays like a MOBA with guns. Two teams of six hold four lanes, farm souls from troopers and guardians, and spend them on items that change a hero more than any level does. Most games are decided by the soul lead at the first big fight, which is why Deadlock boosting orders are set by medal rather than by kills.

If you want to play those lanes yourself, teammates per match join your party, take the lane you need covered and leave every medal point on your own account.
