The Chanter is a staff hybrid tagged as both Healer and Dealer, and its party value comes from buffs that work while you fight.

How the Chanter Plays in AION 2

The Chanter fights with a staff, and the global client tags it as both Healer and Dealer. It is not a backline healer like the Cleric. It is a frontline support that deals damage and buffs the party at the same time.

Its rotation revolves around Dark Crush, which several skills unlock for a short window. Learning to open that window and use it is the core Chanter skill.

How Chanter Builds Work on Global

On the global client, each skill costs 21 skill points to go from level 1 to 10, the Daevanion boards can push it four levels higher, and Stigma slots open at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37, with four in total. Best Chanter Skills to Level First

Spinning Strike comes first: a 30 second cooldown, four targets, and +15% Critical Damage Boost for 30 seconds that stacks twice. Dark Crush has a 5 second cooldown and is the skill your rotation is built around. Impactful Crush stuns on a 15 second cooldown and opens a Dark Crush window. Recuperation is a 15 second party heal.

Put your first 21 points into Spinning Strike, then Dark Crush.

Best Chanter Passives

Attack Preparation gives +5.5% PvE Damage Boost, and Protection Circle throws a party barrier every 10 hits, so it scales with how much you attack. At level 21, Earth's Promise lowers the target's PvE Damage Tolerance by 5.4%. Wind's Promise opens at 25.

Best Chanter Stigma Order

Why damage first: Marchutan's Wrath goes in slot one even on a support, because leveling faster gets you to the party Stigmas sooner.

Chanter Specializations

On Spinning Strike, take -5 seconds cooldown first, then the level 16 option that makes it ignore Block and Evasion and land as a Critical Hit. On Dark Crush, the level 12 option adds the Piercing Strike chain skill.

Chanter Daevanion Path

Walk Nezekan's Attack Preparation and Protection Circle pairs first, then Zikel's Earth's Promise.

Best Chanter Weapon and Theostone

Use an Epic or Unique staff with an AoE Theostone. Most of your hits strike four targets, so AoE procs pay out several times per swing.

Chanter PvP Notes

In PvP, the Chanter is a durable frontline support. Impactful Crush's Stun opens kills, Recuperation keeps teammates alive, and Power of the Storm's Combat Speed buff swings team fights.

Common Chanter Mistakes

• Playing the Chanter like a backline healer and attacking too little. Protection Circle needs hits.

• Wasting Dark Crush windows.

• Doubling debuffs with a Cleric. Earth's Promise does not stack with Chain of Torment.

Those servers are now on a different version: a level 50 cap instead of 45, Stigma levels up to 25 instead of 20, extra content, and a ninth class.
