Daevanion boards in AION 2 are node grids that raise your passive skills beyond their normal cap, up to four extra levels, and on global almost every class starts on the Nezekan board, with Zikel opening at level 20. Pick a path that doubles the passives your build already depends on, not the ones that look biggest in isolation.

What the Boards Do

Regular skills cap at level 10 from skill points. Daevanion nodes push passives past that, up to four levels higher. The global client names its boards after the Empyrean Lords: Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel, Triniel, Ariel and Azphel. Some translated Korean guides spell them differently, which is one of the reasons Korean guides are confusing to follow on global.

Two details shape every path:

  • Nezekan carries two nodes for each of your first five passives, so the early points on Nezekan do the most work for most classes.

  • Zikel opens at level 20, and it holds the later passives that some classes care about most.

Where Each Class Should Start

Class

First board

Walk these nodes first

Then

Gladiator

Nezekan

Attack Preparation, Survival Stance

Zikel: Murderous Burst

Templar

Nezekan

Enhance Health, Ironclad Defense, Guarding Seal

Zikel: Fury, Insulting Roar

Assassin

Nezekan

Assault Stance, Exploit Weakness

Zikel: Defense Break

Ranger

Nezekan

Hunter's Resolve, Focused Eye

Zikel: Rooting Eye, Hunter's Soul

Sorcerer

Zikel first at 20

Grace of Enhancement pair

Nezekan: Fire Mark, Robe of Earth

Spiritmaster

Nezekan

Spirit Strike

Zikel: Consecutive Countercurrent, Element Unification

Cleric

Nezekan

Healing Enhancement, Warm Benediction

Zikel: Radiant Benediction

Chanter

Nezekan

Attack Preparation, Protection Circle

Zikel: Earth's Promise

The Sorcerer is the exception. Its most important passive, Grace of Enhancement, sits on Zikel with doubled nodes, so the Sorcerer goes to Zikel first and returns to Nezekan afterwards.

How to Choose a Path Yourself

  1. Name the two passives your build cannot function without. For a Templar that is Health and Defense. For an Assassin it is the crit passives.

  2. Find their nodes. On Nezekan they are usually doubled.

  3. Walk the shortest route through them. Do not detour for a node that sounds strong but does not feed your core loop.

  4. Reassess at 20 when Zikel opens.

Korean Daevanion Guides

Korea's Chapter 1 update added extra Daevanion boards that global does not have, and the level 50 cap gives Korean characters more points to spend. A Korean path can lead to nodes that are not on your boards yet. Read our Korean vs global builds guide before copying one.

If the board grind is the part you want to skip, the AION 2 accounts marketplace lists developed global characters by class. Not sure which class to pick? Our class comparison covers all eight. Price-check with the account value calculator first.
