OSRS RuneFest 2026 Quests: Quest Month, The Graveyard and 2027 Plans
OSRS gets a Quest Month in November 2026, with at least five surprise quests and The Graveyard, and the bigger Master quests follow in 2027. Jagex laid out the plan at RuneFest on October 3 and 4. Only The Graveyard has passed its poll so far, so treat everything else as a proposal that players still vote on.
November 2026: Quest Month, at least one surprise quest per week, plus The Graveyard.
2027: Fairytale III: Nexus of Power, The Chosen Commander and Fool's Gold.
Also proposed: XP rewards for 18 older quests.

Quest Month: five surprise quests in November
Jagex plans at least five quests across November, with at least one landing each week. They are described as small, at Novice or Intermediate level, and none should go above Experienced. The details stay secret until release, and every quest gives XP and quest points.
The Graveyard is the sixth item on the list. It is a Master quest that comes with a boss encounter and a new Agility course, so it is the one to prepare for. If you plan to push levels fast during the month, our comparison of pure builds and skilling accounts helps you decide which kind of character fits quest content best.
The 2027 Master quests
Fairytale III: Nexus of Power closes the Fairytale questline. You stop the Fairy Godfather from taking the Nexus, the artifact behind the fairy ring network. Early reward ideas are a relaxed Runecraft method, fairy ring upgrades and a repeatable boss called the Nexus Guardian. These are ideas, not final rewards.
The Chosen Commander is the Dorgeshuun finale, backported and raised to Master difficulty. The proposed requirements are 58 Agility, 54 Thieving, 46 Strength and Land of the Goblins completed. Rewards floated so far include three 40,000 XP lamps and a crossbow with a special attack. Expect early 2027 if the poll passes.
Fool's Gold takes you deeper into Menaphos, which ties into the news that the city is finally opening to players. Proposed features include the true Soul Altar for Soul runes at 90 Runecraft and the first Skilling Dungeon. Community estimates point to spring 2027, but Jagex has not given a date.
Free XP for old quests
Jagex also proposed adding XP rewards to 18 older quests that give none today, with players able to claim retroactive XP from Perdu. This is still subject to polls too, so do not plan a build around it yet.
Other RuneFest news worth knowing
The same summit announced hardcore worlds for November 4, which are permadeath servers where a character that survives can move to a regular world afterwards. New bosses such as Ripgut and Gemstone Dragons were also shown.
