Steal an Egg Halloween Update 9: Pets, Eggs and Events
Steal an Egg update 9 is the Halloween Dimension: three new biomes, 18 new pets, two Halloween eggs, the Phantom Express train and the new Spectral mutation. The headline numbers are 2,250 Candy Corn for the event egg and a Spectral mutation that costs 500 Souls. The event eggs are limited-time, so the Candy Corn plan matters most.
Three biomes: Graveyard, Haunted Swamp and Abandoned Manor, six pets each
Halloween Dimension Egg: 2,250 Candy Corn, five possible pets
Halloween Egg: store egg with six possible pets and a Zombified re-roll chance
Spectral mutation: 500 Souls, 25% application chance, 2.75x multiplier
Events: Blood Moon (double Candy Corn) and Pumpkin Collection (leaderboard rewards)
What is new in the Halloween Dimension
You reach the Halloween Dimension through the portal at spawn. Each biome has its own pet pool, and every pool tops out at a high rarity: Eternal in the Graveyard, Haunted Swamp and Abandoned Manor, with a Divine pet (Voidseer Pumpkin) in the Manor. Income figures below are the per-second values listed at launch and may be rebalanced in later patches.
| Biome | Top pet | Rarity | Income |
|---|---|---|---|
| Graveyard | Ghost Reaper | Eternal | $300M/s |
| Haunted Swamp | Shelltide Voyager | Eternal | $1.6B/s |
| Abandoned Manor | Voidseer Pumpkin | Divine | $12.5B/s |

Halloween Dimension Egg: is 2,250 Candy Corn worth it?
The event egg is mostly Legendary and Mythical pets, so the real prize is the 0.5% Eternal. You buy it at the giant pumpkin in the Halloween spawn for 2,250 Candy Corn. Roughly three out of four hatches land on Candy Corn or Hollow Bat, so treat it as a lottery ticket, not a plan.
| Pet | Rarity | Drop chance |
|---|---|---|
| Candy Corn | Legendary | 51% |
| Hollow Bat | Mythical | 24% |
| Scarecrow | Cosmic | 18% |
| Pumpkin Golem | Secret | 6.5% |
| Soul Phantom | Eternal | 0.5% |
Halloween Egg from the store
The store egg has a better floor: its lowest pet is Legendary, and it can roll a Zombified version through the Zombified Re-Roll mechanic. Zombified variants sit outside the normal drop table, so they are a bonus on top of the odds below.
| Pet | Rarity | Drop chance |
|---|---|---|
| Pumpkin Fiend | Legendary | 39% |
| Night Fang | Mythical | 24% |
| Tombstone Bear | Cosmic | 18% |
| Grave Cerberus | Secret | 11% |
| Phantom Dragon | Eternal | 6.5% |
| Bone Emperor | Divine | 0.5% |
Echo the Ghost Dog quest: how to get the Phantom Express ticket
Echo is in the Graveyard biome near the three crypts. Finish his quest in order:
Find the collar, the dirty bone, the plushy rabbit toy and the ghost photo (the photo is in the Abandoned Manor, left of the main gate and behind a rock).
Bring all four items back to Echo.
Follow Echo to the Ghost Fisherman near the pier and take the Haunted Rod.
Cast at the glowing ripples and steer the underwater course, avoiding sea mines.
Reach the chest to receive the Phantom Express Ticket.
Phantom Express and the Spectral mutation
The Phantom Express runs every 30 minutes, on the hour and half-hour, so have the ticket ready. In the spirit area you collect Souls with the ghost-vacuum, then trade them at the Soul Extractor for a Spectral mutation consumable.
| Spirit | Souls |
|---|---|
| Lost spirit | 20 |
| Haunted spirit | 50 |
| Vengeful spirit | 110 |
| Ghouler | up to 2,500 (shared between all players who defeat it) |
The consumable costs 500 Souls and has a 25% chance to apply to an eligible egg for a 2.75x multiplier. That 25% means you should plan for a few attempts, not one.
Candy Corn: Blood Moon and Pumpkin Collection
The Blood Moon doubles Candy Corn from enemies, and it can occur every 30 minutes but is not guaranteed. Hunt the high-value enemies when it is active.
| Enemy | Normal | Blood Moon |
|---|---|---|
| Candy Corn | 12 | 24 |
| Hollow Bat | 12 | 24 |
| Chest Mimic | 28 | 56 |
| Scarecrow | 28 | 56 |
| Soul Phantom | 65 | 130 |
| Pumpkin Golem | 65 | 130 |
The Pumpkin Collection event adds a leaderboard: catch runaway pumpkins and deliver them to the altar. First place earns 1,000 Candy Corn, second 750 and third 500. At that rate, three podium finishes get you close to one Halloween Dimension Egg.
