How Violet Works
Violet is an artist who fights with paint and a brush, and nearly her whole kit reshapes the battlefield:
Living Ink empowers your next three bullets: you can steer them in flight, they hit harder and splash spirit damage. Every hero hit lowers your ability cooldowns, and item cooldowns by half as much. This is the engine of the hero.
Flow State paints a trail that speeds allies and damages and slows enemies.
Still Life is a strong trading and sustain tool in lane.
Abstract Landscape, her ultimate, creates a circle of ink that blocks vision and grants allies Spirit.
The Crit Trap
Violet has a -20% crit bonus scale, and Living Ink cannot crit. Crit-based gun items that look good on any shooter are wasted on her. Build Spirit, charges and cooldowns instead.
Skill Order
Prioritise Living Ink's final upgrade, because more charges and stronger empowered bullets mean more cooldown refunds across the whole kit. One early point in Still Life gives lane sustain.
Item Build
Early: Extra Charge (800 souls) gives Living Ink a third charge and +7 Spirit to charged abilities, so it is the standard first buy. Add Extra Spirit, Mystic Regeneration and Extra Regen.
Mid: Rapid Recharge (3,200) is the core upgrade: +2 charges, 30% faster charges and 14% cooldown reduction for charged abilities. Then Improved Spirit, Spirit Lifesteal and Tankbuster. Torment Pulse and Warp Stone fit when you fight up close.
Late: Boundless Spirit and the cooldown line first. Escalating Exposure stacks spirit amp every time you deal spirit damage, and Violet deals it with all four abilities. Spirit Burn and Escalating Exposure post her highest win rates, around 60%.
How to Play Her
Trade with Still Life in lane and use Living Ink hits to refresh it.
Never sit on Living Ink charges. Every hit is cooldown you are not using.
Use Flow State to link cover and practise the route both ways.
Drop Abstract Landscape to break enemy vision before your team engages.
