Baba Build Guide: Best Items, Skill Order and How to Play Deadlock's Hex Support
The best Baba build in Deadlock is spirit and sustain: open with Extra Charge, Mystic Regeneration and Extra Regen, build Radiant Regeneration, Torment Pulse and Spirit Snatch in the mid game, and finish with Boundless Spirit and Escalating Exposure. Baba released on October 6, 2026 at a rough 42.7% win rate and has since climbed to around 53 to 54% as players learned her kit.
Win rates and item stats below come from public match trackers in late October 2026. Trackers disagree slightly, so we give ranges, and every Deadlock patch moves them.

How Baba Works
Baba is a hexing grandmother who steals power from enemies and hands protection to her team:
Threadsap saps enemies and feeds her bonus Spirit. The more enemies it hits, the harder her damage and healing items scale, which is why the build revolves around it.
Granny Long Legs is her mobility and reach.
Baba's Brew shields allies and reduces enemy resists. Throw it on your frontliner as they engage.
Feed The Birds, her ultimate, turns enemies into pigeons, one of the most disruptive teamfight tools in the game.
Her swing from 42.7% to 54% is the classic new-hero curve: her kit is unusual, and it took the playerbase a week to learn to land Threadsap on multiple targets and time the ultimate.
Skill Order
Threadsap, Threadsap, Baba's Brew, Granny Long Legs, then back to Threadsap and Brew before the ultimate. Get Threadsap's 2 AP upgrade early for its cooldown reduction, and Granny Long Legs' 2 AP for the same reason.
Item Build
Early: Extra Charge is bought in over 90% of games. Add Extra Regen, Mystic Regeneration and Spirit Strike. Cheap gun items work too, since Threadsap's Spirit buff helps her trade.
Mid: Radiant Regeneration and Torment Pulse are the core, because both scale with the bonus Spirit Threadsap steals. Add Healing Booster, Reactive Barrier and Spirit Snatch, which stacks with Baba's Brew's resist reduction. Mystic Expansion, Duration Extender and Compress Cooldown can be imbued into Granny Long Legs early for uptime.
Late: Superior Cooldown and Rapid Recharge, then Boundless Spirit and Escalating Exposure, which post her highest win rates at around 59 to 61%. Transcendent Cooldown is always good on her.
How to Play Her
Hit as many enemies as possible with Threadsap. Every extra target means more Spirit and more value from your items.
Brew your frontliner as they engage, not after they are already low.
Hold Feed The Birds for the moment the enemy commits. Turning a diving team into pigeons ends fights.
Stay tanky. Baba is not a backline healer; she fights inside the brawl.
