AION 2 Stigma Guide (Global): Slots, Level Cap and the First Stigma for Every Class
AION 2 global gives you 4 Stigma slots, unlocked at character levels 22, 27, 32 and 37, and Stigma skills level up to 20. Korean and Taiwanese servers have more slots and a cap of 25, which is why most Stigma guides online recommend more Stigmas than you can equip. Below is how the system works on global and the first Stigma each class should register.

What a Stigma Is
Every class has 12 active skills, 10 passives and 13 Stigma skills. Stigmas are extra skills you unlock by registering a Stigma stone in a slot, and they tend to be the strongest or most specialised abilities in a kit: big AoE, party shields, hard crowd control, PvP tools.
Because you have only four slots for thirteen options, Stigma choice is where a build is really made. The right four depend on whether you are leveling solo, running dungeons or fighting in PvP, and most classes swap one Stigma between those situations.
Leveling Stigmas
Stigma skills level separately from your regular skills, using Stigma shards. On global the cap is level 20. Korea's Chapter 1 update raised that to 25 and added Advanced Stigma Shards, which global does not have at launch. If a guide talks about a Stigma perk at level 21 or higher, it is a Korean guide.
Korean Builds Have Too Many Stigmas
This is the most common mistake we see. A Korean build lists five or six Stigmas. Global has four slots. You have to cut, and which one you cut depends on your content. Our Korean vs global builds breakdown explains every difference.

Skip the Slot Grind
The fourth slot does not open until level 37, and that is where most builds finally come together.
