Elyos vs Asmodian in AION 2: Which Faction Should You Choose?
Elyos and Asmodian have the same eight classes and the same skills in AION 2, so pick the faction your friends play and the look you prefer. The decision matters because every server hosts one faction only, server transfers only move within a faction, and there is no way to switch sides later.

What Is Actually Different
Lore and home regions. Elyos live in the bright upper half of the shattered world, Asmodians in the dark lower half. Your starting zones, cities and story quests differ.
Look. Elyos characters are designed around light and grace. Asmodians have darker skin tones, clawed hands and feet, and manes. If you are going to stare at a character for hundreds of hours, this matters more than people admit.
Who you fight. The two factions are enemies, and PvP content pits one against the other.
What Is the Same
Classes, skills, Stigmas, Daevanion boards and gear progression. An Asmodian Gladiator plays exactly like an Elyos Gladiator. Our class guides apply to both factions.
The Rule That Makes This Decision Permanent
Each AION 2 server hosts a single faction. When you pick a server, you are picking a faction. Server transfers, which opened on October 14, only move characters between servers of the same faction. How to Choose
Friends first. If your group already plays, match their faction and server. Dungeons are cross-server, but open world, guilds and the Market are not.
Then the look. Both factions are balanced, so there is no wrong answer on power.
Then population. A busier server means a healthier Market and faster open-world groups.
