Understanding Marvel Rivals Team-Up Abilities: How to Use Synergy to Your Advantage

What’s the deal about Marvel Rivals Team-Up Abilities? It’s a team-up allowing two or more characters from the Marvel Universe to pair their unique talents together and gain a competitive edge over their enemies. Two characters who synergize extremely well with each other can be incredibly powerful and can change the tide of the battle when players know what they’re doing.

How Rival Team-Ups Work in Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals began with 16 Team-Up abilities that work with the game’s roster of 33 playable characters. Since the start of Season 1, Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic upped it to 35. It will reach 37 later in the season once Human Torch and The Thing join the fun. Although team-ups aren’t required to secure match victories, they can be extremely powerful and will enhance your gameplay experience.

Team-ups offer unique synergies for at least two characters to work together as a dynamic duo. Pairing up certain heroes (or villains) on the same team offers amazing benefits like Hela’s Ragnarok Rebirth ability resurrecting Loki or Thor during mid-combat when they’re on the same team. There’s also Rocket Raccoon’s Ammo Overload. It adds an active ability for the primary character who is supplying the Team-up or a secondary hero who benefits most from this little perk.
