A Fresh Thematic Experience

Next year, League will roll out three different Seasons, each with its own unique theme and story that will unfold over time. Each Season will come in two Acts, focusing on different champions from across Runeterra. Along the way, expect fresh gameplay modes, new skins, fun mini-games, and even adjustments to the core gameplay—all designed to match the Season's theme.

A Smoother, Sleeker Client

The client’s getting a major upgrade! With the new Activity Center, you’ll find it easier to follow along with the seasonal content, keep track of your Battle Pass progress, and stay in the loop on ongoing events. Plus, the Info Hub will keep you up-to-date on patch notes, upcoming champions, and anything else you need to know about the world of League.

The Overhauled Battle Pass System

The Battle Pass will be more important than ever in 2025. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect from the revamped system:

A Reworked Honor System

The Honor system is getting a major rework, and now it’s tied to the Battle Pass and your social standing in the game. The higher your Honor level, the better the rewards, which will make it feel even more rewarding to be a positive player. Plus, the better your Honor, the more perks you’ll unlock!

Streamlined Rewards and Simpler Systems

2025 is all about simplifying things and making rewards easier to get. The Honor Shop will be gone, and you’ll now directly earn rewards from your Battle Pass. Plus, Champion Mastery will now help boost your Battle Pass progress. It’s a more straightforward way to earn cool rewards without all the extra clutter.

What’s Staying the Same?

Some things will stay familiar, like special events (hello, Lunar Revel!), but overall, expect everything to tie into the seasonal theme. The Hextech Chest system will be getting an update, with Masterwork Chests being phased out in favor of Mythic Essence and loot orbs.
