League of Legends

League of Legends Patch 14.4

Riot Games recently made significant changes to League of Legends with the release of Patch 14.4 These changes include adjustments to champion abilities, item reworks, and gameplay balance. As a booster for Eloboost24 and a player with extensive experience in the game, I'm excited to share my thoughts on these changes and how they impact the gameplay experience.

BUFFS

Kai’Sa

image15.png 62.14 KB

I don't think this buff will change much, but something can change with the buff for the Terminus item. We still need to remember the fact that he is only strong with engaged support, so I don't recommend taking it as a blind choice.

Lulu

image6.png 101.84 KB

I think it can be effective for the support and mid role because it’s a very good buff not only in terms of support but also in terms of damage. Champions with low range are generally not preferred in mid, but when they get a very powerful buff, the situation can change.

Renekton

image10.png 106.87 KB

Renekten had become very weak after the item changes, so this buff makes sense, but I think it has become too strong to be able to get blind pick again because almost every ability has been buffed and these buffs are not small.

Volibear

image9.png 114.73 KB

We can say that AP Volibear is back. I don't understand why they are trying to do this. In the same way, in Twisted Fate, they are choosing to move away from being AP towards AD. But the designs of the champions are not that way. I don't see any other reason other than that, I guess because people have more fun. I can say that Volibear is too strong now, if you are going to play, I recommend you to play with AP/off-tank form.

NERFS

Bard

image5.png 105.83 KB

Bard has been in a very strong position since the item changes and I can say that the Nerf was even late. I think it needed to be nerfed even more. Because a support champion cannot take tank items and deal too much damage. It was against the rules of the game. Still strong and playable.

Fiora

image7.png 62.92 KB

This nerf is directly for 1vs1, because it was not possible to lose trades when you hit your W on the champion, but now it is possible. I think it is a necessary nerf. I can say that Fiora went from very strong to just strong.

Maokai

image1.png 91.15 KB

Maokai has never been a champion who is strong early on, so don't think these nerfs will help much. Maokai is strong because his abilities have low cooldowns and his ability kit contains a lot of slow/root. So I can only say that the Nerf for root will help a bit. He is still very strong and playable, especially for a support role.

ADJUSTED

K’Sante

image3.png 73.34 KB

It's the best adjustment I've seen in a long time. The champion's damage has been reduced and tankiness has been increased, which is exactly what is expected from a tank champion. We'll see it weakened and less preferred in Solo Q, but I can say that it will be chosen more in the professional arena.

ITEMS

Black Cleaver

image4.png 39.15 KB

It's a small buff, but for some champions, it might be preferable, but only as a first item against tanks. (Darius/Urgot…)

Terminus

image11.png 38.5 KB

The problem is that you can only get this item as the 3rd, 4th, or 5th item, so usually when a champion enters the meta, the first item he gets needs to be strengthened. So I can only say that the champions who already bought this item will be in the meta more.

Mage items

Riot Games already said that they would bring a buff to mages in the previous patch, but I didn't expect the buff to be so small. Don't think anything will change, it's a very insufficient buff.

League of Legends Patch 14.4
Payday 3: Will the Heist Sequel Boom or Bust in the Gaming Industry?

Payday 3: Will the Heist Sequel Boom or Bust in the Gaming Industry?

Is Payday 3 a boom or bust among the members of the gaming industry?  Slated for release on  September 21, 2023, this first person shooter game was developed by Starbreeze Studios and published by Deep Silver.  This serves as the sequel to Payday 2, which was developed by Overkill Software and published by 505 Games in 2013.

Game Changers

pd3.jpg 580.67 KB

When Payday 2 was released it was designed as a cooperative first person shooter game that served as the sequel to 2011’s Payday: The Heist.  After it was launched in 2013, there was a remastered version of the game titled Crimewave Edition that was released in 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.  At the time, Starbreeze Studio had yet to acquire the rights of Overkill Software and its intellectual property.  After forking out $30 million USD in 2016, Payday 2 also became available for people owning a Nintento Switch console as of 2018.

In March 2021, Plaion pitched in to ensure Payday 3’s development, marketing, and support was there for the game’s launch and post-launch.  Currently, Payday 3 has been using the Unreal Engine 4 but there will be an upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 after the game is launched.  Because of this, Payday 3’s gameplay will is console versions having the same gameplay mechanics as the PC version.

Boom or Bust?

pd33.jpg 464.86 KB

According to gamers and reviewers who’ve enjoyed earlier access to Payday 3, the latest edition to the Payday series can be viewed as a great experience or a punishing one.  According to one reviewer, the game felt it was far too difficult due to a series of details that took away its entertainment value.  However, according to another reviewer, part of the charm was going through a heist that came with a chain of events to make the gaming experience more challenging.

Just like its predecessor, Payday 3 relies on the cooperation of players involved in a heist to work together as a team.  Just like real life, if the people involved in the team can’t bring themselves to work together as one cohesive unit, they’re doomed.  Everybody involved must be on the same page at all times.  Among gamers who excel at teamwork-related tasks, Payday 3 is great.

However, if the gamer lacks patience or is stuck with three other people who behave like noobs, then Payday 3 may not be so entertaining to play.  Going solo isn’t an option, either.  The game offers eight different heists upon launch.  This is less than the twelve maps that came with Payday 2 but each one seems to be more expansive.  There are banks, ports, and skyscrapers that dictate the setting of each heist.

Hostages & Negotiations

pd32.jpg 70.26 KB

What Payday 3 offers players is the opportunity to take hostages and use them as bargaining chips when negotiating with the enemy.  In the game’s storyline, the crew from Payday 2 are brought out of retirement against their will to complete at least one final heist, this time in New York City instead of Washington, D.C.  Ten years is a long time to be out of the game, so to speak, and much has changed when it comes to banking in the United States.  In order to pull off any heist, the team needs to have its “A-game” on.

While gamers wait for the official launch of Payday 3, there are also certain expectations placed Deep Silver and the development team of Starbreeze Studios need to take into consideration.  As gamers, people don’t like to be held hostage when it comes to online gaming experiences.  This means they’ll want a fully functional game that has as few bugs as possible in it.  They’ll also want their voices to be heard each time they gripe about something.  As long as those concerns are within reason, then its the responsibility of Payday 3’s support team to ensure each of them are addressed and dealt with properly.

Will Payday 3 be a boom or a bust as a game?  As usual, time will tell, as will the members of the gaming community as they never hold back voicing their opinion about something, regardless if its good or bad.

League of Legends Patch 13.17 By Tinyy

A blog post about these changes was written by me, Tinyy, one of the best elo boosters from EB24.

Riot Games recently made significant changes to League of Legends with the release of Patch 13.17 These changes include adjustments to champion abilities, item reworks, and gameplay balance. As a booster for Eloboost24 and a player with extensive experience in the game, I'm excited to share my thoughts on these changes and how they impact the gameplay experience.

Let’s start with the BUFFS

Elise

image4.png 101.58 KB

Not the best buffs. However, Elise can be a really strong jungle champion in some matches. For example, if your laners have priorities and if you can convert that priority to invading the enemy jungle, taking drakes, taking heralds, and even diving enemy, and lastly Elise is really strong with champions that can CC enemies(Renekton W / Syndra Q, E / any kind of engage supports…). So even if you don't have that many priorities in the lanes. You can still play with these kinds of champions to make a win condition from them.

Lux

image5.png 111.96 KB

Really good buffs for both mid/support lux. Lux as a champion is easy to play. So if you are playing around iron/bronze/silver/gold/plat even maybe emerald I really prefer you to play this champion. You will learn how to play safely in every stage of the game.

Orianna

image12.png 64.43 KB

This is the 3rd buff for Orianna in the last 2 months. They are adding up overall. Against some champions, you can play her (Vlad, Akshan, Tristana, and mostly all of the melee champions).

NERFS

Naafiri

image10.png 98.71 KB

Again Naafiri gets a huge Nerf. Not playable anymore. Nerfing almost every skill + base stats is too much at one time. I don't recommend you to play this champion till he gets some changes.

Kha’Zix

image1.png 75.34 KB

This might look small. But it is not that small. The important thing is how many times you use your Q skill in a game. And you use this skill 10 times, maybe 20 times more than your other skills. So Nerf affects more. Still playable and still strong but this will certainly affect many scenarios.

ADJUSTED

Vi

image9.png 93.02 KB

They reduced Vi’s burst and slightly increased her durability. So basically Vi does less damage but is more tanky. This change is mainly for pro-play. I don't think this will affect anything in Solo-q. Don't prefer you to play her.

Blitzcrank

image11.png 59.26 KB

Now Blitzcrank does more damage to champions and less damage to minions. Overall I don't think it’s an adjustment, more likely buff. Because no one was playing Blitzcrank in the jungle. So nerfing jungle Blitzcrank doesn't make sense. A stronger blitz plays him.

Hecarim

image7.png 95.51 KB

I think the biggest reason for these changes is to make Hecarim move out of the jungle and play in the top lane. Will it affect you? I don't think so. Because the changes are really small. In the next patch, we might again see something about Hecarim. These changes will be never enough for Hecarim to move toward the top lane.

ITEMS

Duskblade of Draktharr

image14.png 65.23 KB

New passive change works like Samira W. It doesn't seem like a big change. But in general, I don't recommend you to buy this item anymore. Because it has received a lot of nerfs in the past patches.

Goredrinker

image8.png 52.85 KB

Huge substantial huge buff. You can choose this item for your bruiser champions(Renekton, Jarvan,Lee’sin, Riven…)

Spear of Shojin

image6.png 74.97 KB

Huge buff for Shojin. However, Riot called this more likely an adjustment '.It is really not. If we just look at base stats.60ad / 500 hp is too much for bruisers. Definitely 2nd item for almost all of the Bruisers.

SYSTEMS

Catchup Experience

image3.png 28.17 KB

This is a small nerf for a catchup experience. Overall it's going to be a bit harder to catch up with the enemies' lvl's right now.

Starfield: Bethesda's Ambitious Leap into the Cosmic Frontier

Starfield: Bethesda's Ambitious Leap into the Cosmic Frontier

Slated for release on September 6, 2023, all eyes are on Starfield to take the video gaming industry by storm.  Developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks, Starfield is an action role-playing game that’s based on the science fiction realm of outer space.  The game has been designed to cater to gamers using the Xbox Series X/S and Windows.

More About Starfield

starfield2.jpg 596.09 KB

Played either in first-person mode or third-person, Starfield boasts an open world that allows gamers to travel the galaxy between fictional and nonfictional planetary systems.  There are over one thousand planets to choose from, as well as a series of moons and space stations.  Within Starfield’s universal realm is New Atlantis, the largest city Bethesda has created yet as a development team.

Within the game, players encounter a variety of non-playable characters (NPCs).  Some of them may also become part of the crew.  The NPCs will also respond according to whatever choices are made by the player as the game progresses.  As for members of the crew joining the player’s roster, they can either offer assistance in combat or at a designated outpost that’s been constructed by the player.  There are even opportunities to engage in a bit of romance should players wish to go that route.

From the ground up, plates can customize their characters by how they look and what kind of background they have.  This will lead to three starting skills that become unlocked.  As the game progresses, additional skills and traits become unlocked that will dictate the direction of the character as it is being played.  Whatever players choose for their characters from the start of the game onward will determine how they perform in various environmental and social conditions they’ll encounter.

Skyrim in Space

starfield3.jpg 273.25 KB

Starfield’s open-world environment enables players to explore about from planet to planet to see what they can find as resources.  Opportunities to craft various items allow players to come up with armor, spaceship design, weaponry, and consumables.  The possibilities for players to engage in character development, combat, exploration, and trade seem endless.

For the first time in over twenty-five years, Starfield is the first new intellectual property coming from Bethesda Game Studios.  Considered to be the deep space equivalent to Skyrim, Starfield was a project the development team had been working on since 1994.  Going into 2018, the production of the game commenced, using Creation Engine 2 as a platform to turn the dream of Starfield into reality.

Setting Expectations

After Bethesda teased the audience during its E3 2018 presentation, director Todd Howard was focused on making sure Starfield continued to make progress as the gaming industry’s next big release.  After the demonstration showing improvements at E3 2021, members of the gaming community have been anxiously waiting to get their hands on Starfield.  However, as the majority of Triple-A gaming developers and publishers have been letting gamers down with the release of one broken game after another, there are expectations Bethesda does not repeat the same mistakes companies like Activision, CD Projekt Red, and Rockstar Games had been making.

Will Starfield measure up to the high expectations placed by gamers when the game launches on September 6th, 2023?  Based on the forty-five minutes of gameplay that was presented by Bethesda Game Studios on June 11, 2023, the answer so far is “yes.”  While the debate of Starfield possibly having microtransactions ensues, there is reason to believe there will be expansion packs and modded content brought forth by members of Bethesda’s development team and talented gamers who want to jazz up their experience while playing the game.

It’s About the Future

Starfield-4.jpg 259.17 KB

Aside from Starfield set in a futuristic setting, Bethesda’s vision as a respected group of developers and game publishers looks beyond the expectations of today.  When Skyrim was presented for the first time in 2011, little did members of the gaming community realize at the time the game would still be incredibly popular today.  Over the stretch of time, it has been modded like crazy but that merely demonstrated how dedicated fans of the game were to optimize their experience with it.

What Bethesda wants in Starfield is a similar experience it had with Skyrim and the rest of the Elder Scrolls series.  Instead of grabbing a quick profit at the expense of the gamers, Bethesda wants a legacy it can be proud of.  Should Starfield meet or exceed player expectations upon its release, this will set a new standard in the gaming industry.

Among development teams and publishers in the gaming industry that seemed to have lost touch with what gamers really want, the demand for Triple-A companies to do better has been on the rise.  Many members of the gaming community have lost patience with companies like Activision who’ve been putting profit and personal agendas as top priorities instead of focusing on what the people really want.  Gamers are fed up with this and are looking to companies like Bethesda to steer the direction of the gaming industry back on course as one of the best forms of entertainment.

League of Legends Patch 13.16 By Tinyy for Eloboost24

A blog post about these changes was written by me, Tinyy, one of the best elo boosters from EB24.

Riot Games recently made significant changes to League of Legends with the release of Patch 13.16 These changes include adjustments to champion abilities, item reworks, and gameplay balance. As a booster for Eloboost24 and a player with extensive experience in the game, I'm excited to share my thoughts on these changes and how they impact the gameplay experience.

BUFFS

Brand

image12.png 117.88 KB

Nice buffs for the support role. Especially if you play at low elos (Silver, gold, platinum) I recommend you to play it. Your potential to carry the game will be much more. I would like to add that maybe we can start to see Brand Jungle.

Caitlyn

image6.png 58.32 KB

2 patches in a row Caitlyn is getting stronger. The problem is that all the items Caitlyn can buy are weak now. This is a really good buff as well but I am still not pretty sure if she is going to be at the meta or not.

Ekko

image5.png 104.5 KB

They are really good buffs. Playable for jungle/mid.Q buff is good for wave clear and W is suitable for ganks. Overall you can play both roles. I think Ekko is strong now.

Lulu

image8.png 109.31 KB

The only reason I put Lulu here is maybe we'll see mid-lane or top-lane Lulu again because these are nice buffs in terms of damage dealt. Of course, for support, they are fine as well. While engage supports are in the meta I don't think this will change a lot. I prefer you to pick Lulu only if your ADC is a hyper-carry. (Kog’mow, Tristana, Jinx…)

Milio

image11.png 100.43 KB

The buff they give to the Q skill is too much. When you reach an average of 200 AP and max the Q skills you are doing 580 damage. That’s too much for a support champion. Milio is overall good against a hard CC comp. Like Lissandra, Morgana, Sejuani, and Thresh against these kinds of champions, you can play milio. Other than that I prefer you to only play her with Caitlyn.

NERFS

Rek’sai

image7.png 89.33 KB

They put rek’sai on Nerfs but I don't think that this is a nerf. It still gives some scale for late games. Still playable.

Shaco

image2.png 83.71 KB

The only reason they did this is to not play the support role with Shaco. Frankly, I didn't see it much in my matches, so I couldn't quite understand why. Nothing changed for jungle shaco.

Tristana

image10.png 71.49 KB

Another weird nerf. I can’t say this is a nerf. There were 2 picks against Tristana, one was Jayce and the other was Azir(for mid-lane Tristana). So I wouldn't call it a Nerf that it's weaker against Azir and stronger against Jayce. Plus now he can tank more from minions because of armor buffs. Still playable.

Items

Duskblade of Draktharr

image9.png 65.05 KB

Not playable anymore. I don't prefer you to get it for any assassin. Eclipse and Youmuu’s will be better.

Prowler’s Claw

image4.png 59.86 KB

Huge buff for some assassins like Kayn, Talon, Khazix…

Upcoming Skins & Chromas

This change now requires mid-lanes to get this rune rather than supports. I don't think it will work. But I can say it's a nice Nerf for support. Still usable but we might see more aftershocks now.
