Riot Games recently made significant changes to League of Legends with the release of Patch 13.4. These changes include adjustments to champion abilities, item reworks, and gameplay balance. A blog post about these changes was written by me, Tinyy, one of the best boosters inside of EB24 company.

If you’re a League of Legends player, you’re probably aware of the recent changes that have been made to the game. These changes have had a significant impact on the gameplay experience, and in this article, we’ll take a closer look at them. As a booster for eloboost24, I have been keeping a close eye on these changes and their effects on the game. Join me as we explore the latest updates and how they have affected the world of League of Legends.

Let's start out with some NERFS

Annie

We mentioned in the previous patch that Annie has changed and can be strong. This NERF is for support Annie because of less shield on her E. They didn't really care about mid-lane Annie because there is no NERF for her damage. Still playable but better in

mid lane.

Azir

Well, Riot really loves Azir!

This is probably going to be Azir’s 20th amendment. What does this NERF mean? Azir could play the early game really safely because he didn’t have any mana problems. He could spam his soldiers and get priority easily with this change. Now it is going to be harder for him to play in the laning phase. He got a little bit of a buff on the late game. So, scaling is still not bad. Late game Azir seems still fine.

Elise

So sad Elise will not be in the meta.

Elise was strong with her ‘’Target missing HP’ because in the early game, even without building ap, you still had enough damage for skirmishes (2v2,3v3). Now, I don’t think Elise will be strong and she doesn't scale as well. So, sadly, goodbye to Elise for some time.

Maokai

I will not say Maokai got nerfed directly but the play style could be different now. Instead of playing AP Maokai with spamming E, now we might see Q max with tank Maokai. This is the 3rd time Maokai’s E gets NERF.

These NERFS were the most important ones. Let’s head into BUFFS now.

Cho’Gath

These BUFFS are going to make Cho’gath stronger but for AP Cho’gath. Ap Cho’gath is only playable in the mid lane so the top lane will not get affected that much. Still, for the laning phase, the top lane will be better for him.

Thresh

Thresh is going to be meta for sure.

Thresh got a lot of BUFFS in the last patch notes. They are mostly buffing damage instead of cdr(cooldown reduction). That is still good for the early game. In the late game, it doesn't matter that much because adding 20-30 damage will not affect that much. If you are needing a support main and like to play engage support, definitely try Thresh. You won’t regret it.

Viego

Well this BUFF is really weird. They are trying to change his playstyle from bruiser+offtank to assassin because of Q changes right now, you can quickly go 40% or 60% crit build. For example, Kraken + Infinity edge / Kraken + Navori. This build will have really good damage from early to mid-game. Go ahead, give it a try.  You won’t be disappointed.

Items

Demonic Embrace

Huge NERF for Demonic. They’re limiting damage for demonic and this will affect champions like Maokai, Lilia, and Amumu in the late game. Now they are going to clear camps slower. In the early game, it doesn't matter because you are not going to do more than 40 damage anyway. So, still fine for the early game (for first item ).

Doran's Shield

Another huge NERF. This change will affect many champions like Tryndamere, Yone, and Jax. If you need to play safe and want to get Doran’s shield, right now you are going to get punished more. Second wind + Doran’s shield combo was really overpowering so this change is not bad for the game. People will play more aggressively now because they will need to buy aggressive items in the early phase.

Runes

Magical Footwear & Treasure Hunter

Magical footwear and Treasure Hunter got NERFED. Right now some champions could abuse magical footwear. Yuumi could get magical footwear and later on sell it for gold. For Treasure Hunter, they NERFED 100 gold overall. This is going to affect early-game junglers mostly. They wanted to snowball the game with Treasure Hunter. Still usable but not strong as before.

Jungle Adjustments

Most of these adjustments are useless and will not affect the game that much. The only adjustment that can affect the game is the kill experience and the comeback kill experience changes. This will affect the game for stabilization. Now your snowball will be less effective. This has good sides and bad sides. The good side is when you fall behind you can come back to the game more easily. The bad side is that you are getting punished for playing better than your opponent. If you abuse an enemy player and get a lead from that I think you should win the game. They are making it harder for you to win the game even if you play a better early game than the opponent.
