Patch Notes 11.11

Champions

AZIR

Q cost decreased.

Q - CONQUERING SANDS

COST 70 mana ⇒ 55 mana

With Q being the main ability Azir uses in lane for poke and wave clear, it’s an all-around buff to him. It will not have a big effect on SoloQ, but we might see him more often in the professional play.

 

ELISE

Spider Form on-hit damage ratio decreased.

Q - PASSIVE - SPIDER QUEEN

SPIDER FORM ON-HIT DAMAGE RATIO 30% AP ⇒ 20% AP

Already struggling Elise got nerfed even further. It will increase her clear time and she will lose more hp on her first clear.

 

EZREAL

Base health regen growth and armor increased.

BASE STATS

HEALTH REGEN GROWTH 0.55 ⇒ 0.65

ARMOR 22 ⇒ 24

Recent nerfs to Essence Reaver affected Ezreal greatly. Having more armor and health regen will help him survive laning phase easier.

 

GRAVES

Base AD growth increased.

BASE STATS

AD GROWTH 3 ⇒ 4

Buff of just 1 ad, but since all of his spell’s scale from AD it can add up pretty quickly. Now he will have 18 AD more at level 18 than in previous patches (worth ~700 gold).

 

HECARIM

Q bonus AD damage ratio increased. E damage ratio increased.

Q - RAMPAGE

DAMAGE RATIO 70% bonus AD ⇒ 75% bonus AD

E - DEVASTATING CHARGE

MINIMUM DAMAGE RATIO 50% bonus AD ⇒ 55% bonus AD

MAXIMUM DAMAGE RATIO 100% bonus AD ⇒ 110% bonus AD

After being nerfed to the ground, Riot is trying to revive the pony from the jungle. Hecarim is still not going to be back to his previous form but we can expect Riot to keep an eye on him and update him accordingly.

 

LEE SIN

E cooldown increased.

E - TEMPEST

COOLDOWN 8 seconds ⇒ 9 seconds

Nerf for lane (top/mid) Lee Sin. Worsens his wave clear and keeps him on the lane longer.

 

LEONA

W base damage decreased.

W - ECLIPSE

BASE DAMAGE 60/95/130/165/200 ⇒ 45/80/115/150/185

A tank, a damage dealer, an assassin, Leona does it all. But supports are not supposed to be able to do all of these. Reducing her W damage will give her less all in damage.

 

MASTER YI

Q damage ratio decreased.

Q - ALPHA STRIKE

DAMAGE RATIO 100% AD ⇒ 90% AD

E - WUJU STYLE

BASE DAMAGE 20/30/40/50/60 ⇒ 30/40/50/60/70

Reducing AD scaling on his Q means Master Yi is going to shift back to his old Crit build. With E getting buffed On Hit might be a viable option as well.

 

MORGANA

W damage against non-epic monsters decreased.

W - TORMENTED SHADOW

DAMAGE AGAINST NON-EPIC MONSTERS 185% ⇒ 155%

Morgana has been running rampant in the jungle. Decreasing her damage against monsters (except baron and dragon) will slow down her jungle clear.


NAUTILUS

E now deals increased damage against monsters.

E - RIPTIDE

NEWTITAN OF THE CAMPS Riptide now deals 150% increased damage against monsters.

Another champion that Riot wants to see in the jungle. Meta is not currently ready for Nautilus jungle since his clear time is much longer than other top tier junglers.

 

QIYANA

W bonus movement speed decreased.

W - TERRASHAPE

BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED 5/7/9/11/13% ⇒ 3/5/7/9/11%

Nerf to roaming aspect of Qiyana. She might be spending more time in lane now opposing to being in the enemy jungle most of the time.

 

RUMBLE

Passive on-hit damage cap against monsters decreased.

PASSIVE - JUNKYARD TITAN

ON-HIT DAMAGE CAP AGAINST MONSTERS 120 ⇒ 80

Another top tier jungler getting his clear speed nerfed. Although, it shouldn’t affect Rumble too much so he will still stay an S tier jungler.

 

RYZE

Base health growth increased.

BASE STATS

HEALTH GROWTH 98 ⇒ 110

Ryze is simply a bad champion at the moment. There are too many issues with him for a small buff like this to make him viable. Stay away from him if you care about LP!

 

SENNA

Passive bonus attack range decreased. Q now scales with lethality. E now scales with AP when camouflaged. R damage ratio increased.

PASSIVE - ABSOLUTION

BONUS ATTACK RANGE PER 20 MIST STACKS 25 ⇒ 20

NEWLETHAL HEALING Piercing Darkness’ healing now also scales with 160% lethality

E - CURSE OF THE BLACK MIST

BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED 20% ⇒ 20% (+1% per 20 AP)

R - DAWNING SHADOW

DAMAGE RATIO 50% AP ⇒ 70% AP

Nerf to Senna’s range, but buff to her utility spells. Due to supports building Staff of the Flowing Water almost every game her R will do more damage, and she will be speeding up her teammates more.

 

SERAPHINE

W base self and ally shields increased.

W - SURROUND SOUND

BASE SELF SHIELD 75-150 (level 1-18) ⇒ 75-225 (level 1-18)

BASE ALLY SHIELD 50-100 (level 1-18) ⇒ 50-150 (level 1-18)

Noticeable buff for mid lane Seraphine. If you play her on support it will be much less noticeable.

 

SHACO

W damage ratio decreased. E AP damage ratio decreased.

W - JACK IN THE BOX

DAMAGE RATIO 10% AP (20% AP against single targets) ⇒ 9% AP (18% AP against single targets)

E - TWO-SHIV POISON

AP DAMAGE RATIO 55% ⇒ 50%

Nerf to AP Shaco. He was already strong so this will put him in an okay spot.

 

SINGED

E cooldown now scales.

E - FLING

COOLDOWN 10 seconds ⇒ 10/9.5/9/8.5/8 seconds

Buff from level 8 onwards. Singed is usually at his strongest in the mid game so this is a pretty big buff for him.


TEEMO

W cooldown decreased.

W - MOVE QUICK

COOLDOWN 17 seconds ⇒ 14 seconds

Whenever Riot buffs a spell champion maxes last, expect him to rise up in win ratio. The story is going to be the same with Teemo. Having his W available more often will give him more agency in lane and keep him safer.

 

URGOT

W modified damage ratio decreased later.

W - PURGE

MODIFIED DAMAGE RATIO 20/24/28/32/36% AD ⇒ 20/23.5/27/30.5/34% AD

Urgot’s not supposed to be as strong in the laning phase as he is now. Nerfing his main spell will make him harder to succeed.

Top Lane Tank Items

 

BRAMBLE VEST

ARMOR 35 ⇒ 30

REMOVEDTHORNS REFLECTED DAMAGE Bramble Vest’s reflected damage no longer scales with bonus armor.

Many champions love going this item. Reflected damage was nice on top of it, but it is mainly bought for Grievous Wounds and nice stats. This nerf won’t change its place in the meta.

 

WARMOG'S ARMOR

MINIMUM HEALTH REQUIREMENT 3000 maximum health ⇒ 1100 bonus health

Bad item generally. Others outperform it too much. Don’t buy it.

 

WARDEN’S MAIL

ROCK SOLID DAMAGE REDUCTION 0.5% of maximum health ⇒ 5 + 0.35% of maximum health

NEWA SOLID TOOLTIP Tooltip now shows how much Rock Solid damage has been blocked

 

RANDUIN’S OMEN

ROCK SOLID DAMAGE REDUCTION 0.5% of maximum health ⇒ 5 + 0.35% of maximum health

 

FROZEN HEART

ROCK SOLID DAMAGE REDUCTION 0.5% of maximum health ⇒ 7 + 0.35% of maximum health

WINTER’S CARESS ENEMY ATTACK SPEED SLOW 15% ⇒ 20%

The difference between the stats Rock Solid was giving and that it will be giving now is miniscule (1-2 damage).

Frozen heart will see more action. 20% Attack speed slow is substantial. 

 

MOONSTONE RENEWER

The Moonstone buff in patch 11.9 was not enough. We’re increasing its healing and shielding power which should boost its strength for all Enchanters. 

STARLIT GRACE HEAL AND SHIELD POWER PER SECOND 4%, up to 20% ⇒ 6%, up to 30%

Some champions might start picking it up, but Shurelya’s Reverie is still better overall.

 

BLACK CLEAVER

CARVE ARMOR REDUCTION PER STACK 4%, up to 24% at 6 stacks ⇒ 5%, up to 30% at 6 stacks

With armor items getting buffed, armor reduction getting buffed was expected. Reducing 6% more armor on top of other armor shredding that is currently in game will make tanks even weaker than they are now.



DIVINE SUNDERER

SPELLBLADE EMPOWERED ON-HIT DAMAGE 10% of target’s maximum health ⇒ 12% of target’s maximum health

SPELLBLADE HEALING 50% for melee || 30% for ranged ⇒ 65% for melee || 40% for ranged

 

FROSTFIRE GAUNTLET

SNOWBIND SLOW FOR RANGED USERS 25% (+4% per 1000 maximum health) ⇒ 12.5% (+2% per 1000 maximum health)

SNOWBIND COOLDOWN FOR RANGED USERS 4 seconds ⇒ 6 seconds

RIMEFORGED GRASP (ORNN UPGRADE)

SNOWBIND SLOW FOR RANGED USERS 25% (+4% per 1000 maximum health) ⇒ 12.5% (+2% per 1000 maximum health)

Further buff for enchanters.

 

SERPENT'S FANG

With shields dominating the game sometimes it’s hard to get a melee champion on the team. This will help Varus comps deal with enchanters easier.

Nerf for pro play. Irrelevant for Soloq.

 

IN-GAME SHOP UPDATES

The build tree has been upgraded to put some respect on the final item (it's larger) as well as accommodate taller trees (looking at you Ornn)

Chad Mythic items with an active now have their own special Mythic active border to differentiate them from the plebeian normal active items

Mythic item borders now show up in the scoreboard so you can easily identify why Jhin has a dash

The builds-into dropdown gained some smarts and can resize based on its content

Emberknife and Hailblade now appear in the Starting Items section of the support tab if you load in with Smite (sorry about that, Ivern!)

 

NEXUS BLITZ BALANCE CHANGES

Nexus Blitz returns for the PROJECT event and will be available from May 27 to June 28. 

LOOT TEEMO/VEIGAR FIRST EVENT CHANCE 13% ⇒ 9%

Elder Dragon can no longer appear as a first reward

Rift Scuttler now uses the same shield mechanic as in Summoner's Rift

RIFT SCUTTLER BASE HEALTH 3000 ⇒ 2800

RIFT SCUTTLER BASE ARMOR AND MR 60 ⇒ 20

Smite now matches Summoner’s Rift's values (starts at 450 damage, upgrades to 900)

Adjusted the factors that weighed into event advantages to the losing team. Not only will it take into consideration the gold discrepancy, but the formula will also consider level differences between the two teams.

DPS CHECK DUMMY HEALTH 5000 (+90 health per level, +15 health per second until 6 minutes, then +30 health per second after) ⇒ 1000 (+90 health per level, +2 health per second until 6 minutes, then +4 health per second after)

Damage that would kill the DPS Check dummy now puts it at 1 health

ON FIRE MOVEMENT SPEED TOWARDS ENEMIES FACING ANGLE 180° ⇒ 130°

 

BUGFIXES/QOL CHANGES

Ahri's E - Charm no longer causes jungle monsters' health to regenerate if used out of combat

Updated Base Karma’s Q and E VFX to improve color range and reduce noise

Hitting Hextech Malzahar or Tyrant Swain will trigger more metallic sounds

Fixed an SFX bug where the initial portion of Worldbreaker Malzahar's Q - Call of the Void couldn't be heard if he casts the ability from Fog of War

Fixed an SFX bug for Crystal Rose Swain, where if Swain used R - Demonflare and started draining a target's soul, the target would NOT hear the stereo whisper SFX or the soul drain start SFX

Open Shop voice lines are once again available for champions and skins that have them

Updated Taliyah's Close Shop VO to her Open Shop VO

Lux's R - Final Spark VO will once again play

Fixed a bug where Xin Zhao's E - Audacious Charge would go on cooldown and use mana despite it not being actually activated when trying to cast it on an enemy outside of its range and recasting it afterwards without a target

Rammus' R - Soaring Slam no longer deals its damage instantly when cast at point zero

Alistar's Q - Pulverize no longer grants a stack of Passive - Triumphant Roar when used on a spell-shielded target

Kassadin can no longer trigger Electrocute by only hitting a champion with two separate attacks
