Caps Hall of Legends Pass 2026: New Tristana and Orianna Skins, and a 58,865 RP Price Tag

Riot has revealed the Hall of Legends skins for Rasmus "Caps" Winther, and there are two stories here. One is a genuinely well made futuristic skin line for Tristana and Orianna that fits the player it honours. The other is a number that appeared in the shop and made a lot of people close the client.

That number is 58,865 RP for the top tier collection. That is roughly 430 dollars, or somewhere around 370 euros depending on your region. For one champion's cosmetics.

Let me go through what is actually in each tier, because the difference between spending 39 dollars and spending 430 dollars on this event is smaller than the price gap suggests.

The Skins

Caps is being honoured with Risen Legend Orianna, Risen Legend Tristana, Immortalized Legend Tristana, and Signature Immortalized Legend Tristana.

Tristana is the main skin and Orianna is the secondary, and both fit the player. The skin line is futuristic and tech themed rather than regal, which is a departure from the Hall of Legends skins made for Faker and Uzi, and it leans on Caps being known as a mechanical genius. Both champions get emotive companions in their skins. Riot has also worked in references to his career throughout, including the famous "Claps" and his name appearing above turrets he takes down.

Immortalized Legend Tristana has three distinct forms, described as three Mechanical Genius transformations, each with its own voice acting. That is the single most substantial piece of content in the entire event and it is what the middle tier is really selling.

What Each Tier Costs and Contains

The Hall of Legends Pass, 1,950 RP, around 16 euros.

The standard pass, 100 levels of rewards, and Risen Legend Orianna is included here. That is worth stating plainly, because it means the Orianna skin is available at ordinary battle pass pricing. Also included are 125 Mythic Essence, 11 orbs, 15 Caps themed icons and emotes, a ward skin, a banner, and the "Martin 1" title. You can also earn three existing skins connected to champions from Caps' career.

Risen Legend Collection, 5,035 RP, around 39 dollars.

Everything in the pass, plus Risen Legend Tristana, a Risen icon and emote, a Risen border, and the Takedown Counter Taunt.

Be aware of what this skin actually is. Risen Legend Tristana is a straightforward skin whose one unique feature is that taunt. It is a nice skin. It is not a transforming spectacle.

Immortalized Legend Collection, 32,035 RP, around 210 to 225 euros.

Upgrades the Tristana skin to Immortalized Legend, which is where the three forms with unique voice lines live, along with HUD visual effects and structure and champion takedown effects. This is the tier with the real content jump.

Signature Immortalized Legend Collection, 58,865 RP, around 430 euros.

Everything above plus Caps' Signature Move on Ctrl+5 for both Tristana and Orianna, Caps' Signature Structure Finisher visual effect on Tristana, signature splash arts, signature immortalized borders, the Risen Legend Orianna Paragon chroma, three more Paragon chromas across Freljord Taliyah, Elderwood LeBlanc, and Empyrean Akali, a Hall of Legends 2026 banner, an exclusive icon and animated emote, and the "Claps" title.

The Honest Value Read

Here is the part worth saying out loud.

The jump from 32,035 RP to 58,865 RP is roughly 26,800 RP, and what it buys is mostly borders, splash arts, chromas, and a Ctrl plus 5 emote. No new transformations. No additional forms. The Signature tier is the autograph tier, and you are paying somewhere near 200 euros for the signature itself.

That is not a scandal, it is a business model, and Riot has run it twice before with Faker and Uzi. It is aimed squarely at people who want to own the definitive version of a skin honouring a player they care about, and those people exist and are entitled to spend their money.

But if you are on the fence, the honest framing is this: the Immortalized tier contains the actual skin experience. Three forms, custom voice acting, unique effects. Everything above it is presentation.

And if what you want is simply a new skin from this event, the 1,950 RP pass gives you Risen Legend Orianna, which is the best value in the entire lineup by a considerable margin.

The Reaction Was Predictable

The pricing did not land quietly. The response across social media was immediate and hostile, with the common complaint being that Riot is designing for whales rather than for players.

I have some sympathy for both sides. Hall of Legends events are genuinely expensive to produce, they honour a specific person, and the top tier is optional in a way that gameplay content is not. Nobody is being locked out of anything competitive.

At the same time, 430 dollars is more than most full priced games, more than a console, and around the price of the physical Immortalized Legend Tristana figure Riot is also selling. Pre orders for that figure open on September 10, with pricing unconfirmed, though previous figures cost somewhere around 350 dollars.

There is something quite striking about a cosmetic bundle and a physical statue occupying roughly the same price bracket.

Dates You Need

  • The event and the pass launch on September 10, alongside patch 26.18.

  • Pass missions progress until October 19.

  • The pass deactivates on October 20.

  • Figure pre orders open September 10.

That is a longer window than usual, which is worth knowing if you were planning to buy the pass and were worried about finishing 100 levels.

Worth noting that Caps' induction is landing considerably later in the year than Faker's or Uzi's, both of which launched in early June.

Is Orianna a Strange Choice?

A few outlets have raised an eyebrow at Orianna as the secondary skin, and I understand why. She is not the champion most casual viewers associate with Caps in the way Tristana is.

I would push back gently. Orianna is a mid lane control mage with a mechanical, precise identity, which fits "Mechanical Genius" better than a flashier pick would. And putting her in the base pass rather than behind a paywall means the secondary skin is the accessible one, which is a reasonable way to structure an event.

Should You Buy Anything?

Buy the pass at 1,950 RP if: you want a new skin from this event and do not want to think about it further. Risen Legend Orianna plus 100 levels of rewards is a normal battle pass proposition at a normal battle pass price.

Buy the Risen Legend Collection at 5,035 RP if: you actually play Tristana and want her skin. Just know that it is a standard skin with one taunt, not a transforming one.

Buy the Immortalized Legend Collection at 32,035 RP if: you want the three forms and the custom voice acting, and the price does not represent a meaningful financial decision for you.

Buy the Signature Collection at 58,865 RP if: you are a Caps fan who wants the definitive version and understands that the last 26,800 RP is buying presentation rather than gameplay content.

Buy nothing if: you were only curious. This event is not going to change how anybody's games play out, and there will be another one next year.
