General League of Legends Teamfight Tactics Valorant

New Placement Matches Policy for LOL, TFT, Valorant

The gaming world is always evolving, and with it, the policies that shape our play. Recently, significant updates have been made to the placement match policies for popular games like League of Legends (LoL), Teamfight Tactics (TFT), and Valorant. Understanding these changes, particularly regarding Matchmaking Rating (MMR) and rank alignment, is crucial for players aiming to maximize their gaming experience.

Last Known Rank Clarification

A key aspect of these updates is the alignment of the account's MMR with the order requirements. For instance, if you're playing on a Diamond account with Master MMR in LoL, you should select Master as your last known rank. This clarification ensures fair and balanced matchmaking in placement matches.

Guaranteed Wins Policy in League of Legends

In LoL, the new policy introduces a system of guaranteed wins for placement matches. The policy stipulates that:

  • For 5 placement matches, players are guaranteed 4 wins (Unranked to Master) and 3 wins (Grandmaster and Challenger).
  • This guarantee scales down with the number of placement matches played, ensuring players have a clear expectation of their potential ranking outcome.

Guaranteed Wins Policy in Teamfight Tactics

In TFT, the new policy introduces a system of guaranteed wins for placement matches. The policy stipulates that:

  • For 5 placement matches, players are guaranteed 4 wins (Unranked to Master) and 3 wins (Grandmaster and Challenger).
  • This guarantee scales down with the number of placement matches played, ensuring players have a clear expectation of their potential ranking outcome.

tftfinal.jpg 279.33 KB

Guaranteed Wins Policy in Valorant

Valorant, too, has adopted a similar policy

  • Players can expect 4 guaranteed wins for 5 placement matches in ranks up to Immortal and 3 wins at Radiant.
  • As with LoL and TFT, the number of guaranteed wins adjusts according to the number of placement matches.

valorantfinal.jpg 241.26 KB

👉
Should the guaranteed win count not be met, players will receive wins equal to their losses. However, it's important to note that compensation will not exceed a full division if the total win rate is 50% or above. This safeguard ensures that players are fairly compensated while maintaining the integrity of the ranking system. This guarantee scales down with the number of placement matches played, ensuring players have a clear expectation of their potential ranking outcome.

Conclusion

As we embrace these new placement match policies across LoL, TFT, and Valorant, players need to stay informed and adapt their strategies accordingly. These changes not only bring a new level of excitement and challenge to the games but also ensure fairness and competitiveness in the ranking system. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting, these policies are set to impact your gaming journey significantly. Remember, these updates are designed with your gaming success in mind. By understanding and leveraging them, you can optimize your gameplay and enjoy a more satisfying competitive experience. So, gear up for the new season, keep these changes in mind, and get ready to climb the ranks with confidence and strategy! 🚀🎮🏆

EB24 about League of Legends #9 Current meta, Patch 10.1 - from the Booster perspective

New season doesn't mean we won't keep you updated on the new trends! Patch 10.1 is out and is full of new changes and surprises! Check how it affected the meta!

  • Top

Season 10 has started and things are pretty stable on top so far, no revolution on champions. Top lane is a pretty hard lane to describe since it’s pretty much a lane for everyone.

In the tier list showed below I could add around 30-40 other champions that can be played on that role, such as Kha'Zix with Comet, Skarner, Vayne, tank Kassadin and so on, but I want to focus on the champions that is mainly designed for the top lane. Well, with a few exceptions.

Tier list and runes

The main difference between S tier and A/B tier is the difficulty of the champion, consistency of winning and most important aspect - scaling. Kled and Mordekaiser are, without a doubt, the best top laners in the meta right now. They’re good on every stage of the game, they scale well even when they’re behind, they’re pretty simple champions and have a really overloaded kit. Despite that, you can play pretty much any champion you’re good at and constantly win top with and you should be as fine. But if you want a free elo or wonder which top laner you should ban it’s definitely these two.

For the runes on Kled, you take Press The Attack as showed instead of Conqueror against melee with Flex armor/magic resist on the adaptive runes.

For Mordekaiser you can take Conqueror along with Resolve against heavy poking champions/range and domination vs melee.

As always, whenever I coach someone and his main priority is to gain elo constantly, the best way for it is to play a tank, such as Ornn or Malphite. These two should allow you to pass pretty much any elo you’re in up to high diamond. They’re simple, have good damage, are great both in a team fight and in 1v1 situation and most importantly, they’re really hard to kill. The downside to this is that they’re not the funniest champions to play. If you prefer to have more fun from the league at the cost of constant winning you should consider playing Poppy. She’s really strong, really tanky has some nice mechanics in her kit and the potential to single-handedly win games. Even when going full tank you can one-shot every ADC with your combo.

For most tanks these are the standard runes you either take Grasp of the Undying or Aftershock depends on how can you trade auto-attacks against the enemy top laner. You take Shield Bash if you have a champion that can activate the shield constantly such as Shen otherwise go Demolish, Second Wind against Damage over Time champions like Teemo. You can take Bone Plating against one-time combo like Renekton, Revitalize if you have self-healing/shields unflinching against heavy cc team and of course flex double armor/double magic resist.

  • Jungler

Jungle is still the same as 9.24 no changes on the dragon or any camp but we have new champs on our tier list. Also, I have a new tier list since some of the champs got buffed in the jungle. Also, I want to talk about Sett. That champion is just okay for the jungle but the reason why I put him on S tier is he is so broken right now. His W shield is just unbeatable. If he gets nerfed he will be no longer on the jungle. I think his R is a game-changer ability because it's so easy to hit. The amount of damage and AOE on his R ability is way too big for a spell like that. His R peels away any tank from your carries. So with one ability, you peel your carries and you deal a massive amount of damage to the whole enemy team which is so easy to land. I highly suggest that you abuse Sett before he gets nerfed.

  • Mid

New-season new changes, in patch 10.1 we met some several changes to Sylas. He has now less auto attack cancel possibility but his damage and healing are highly increased. After this time we can also finally position Diana in our tier list. We also can see a huge nerf to Kassadin, decreasing his movement speed for 340 to 335…. joking, he is still op. Playstyle is still concentrating on roaming and team fighting options. Riot didn't change any mid items and any of summoners spells so its equal to the previous patches.

Champions I would like to highlight:

Conqueror Kassadin – this funny nerf didn't make anything worse about Kassadin when he is even in the lane, he can solo carry almost all late games. Beast at split pushing and in 1v1 situation after 11 level. Basically, when Kassadin got 16 level the game is won.

Conqueror Diana – she manages to be a great level 3 champion with the potential to engage on a mid enemy champion. That makes her climb on our tier ladder. She has some great combat stats with her ult in team fights which actually deals a lot of dmg.

Conqueror Sylas – after buff, he is a strong burst champ, his healing skill makes him a very good team fighter on front line w.

Electro Syndra – great 1v1 champion with potential to engage with the stun and 1 shot adc in late-game phase

Even with the Conqueror nerf, the runes are still the same:

1. Runes #1:

First Rune: Domination

Going for:

- Electrocute

- Sudden Impact

- Eyeball Collection

- Ravenous Hunter

Second Rune: Inspiration

- Biscuit Delivery

- Time Warp Tonic

2. Runes #2:

First Rune: Precision

Going for:

- Conqueror

- Presence of Mind

- Legend: Tenacity

- Coup de Grace

Second Rune: Domination

- Taste of Blood

- Ravenous Hunter

  • ADC

In the current patch 10.1 not much has changed from the preseason for adc Aphelios and miss fortune are still S tier even though Aphelios got nerfed he still stands as one of the most obnoxious ADC's to play against along with MF he has a lot of lifesteal in the lane with his pistol and with the correct weapon combo he can even 1v2 lanes if played correctly, of course, he is hard to play after all knowing his weapon combos and which weapons to use since he got nerfed on his ammunition his Q now costs 10 ammo instead of 5 so it will be more difficult to maintain good weapon combos but he is still one of the strongest ADC's currently, MF is still MF, of course, stacking her Doran's Blades and becoming tanky with a lot of lifesteal and ad she becomes an unkillable one-shot machine if she hits her q and with the current meta most supports have hard engage cc chains so it’s hard to get away from her ult when a Leona/Nautilus engages on you and she ults.

Of course, just below S tier is Caitlyn and Senna they’re both below S tier because they have a couple of weaknesses Caitlyn and Senna are both very strong in lane and they bully out opponents with their range but if they don’t manage to get ahead in the lane they might not feel as strong as other champions Caitlyn has trouble in the mid-game before she gets to her power spikes and if she doesn’t hit those power spikes then she feels a bit lackluster Senna, on the other hand, has below average wave clear so if you fall behind it’s really hard for her to farm waves and catch up but of course she always has her utility with her heals and root.

  • Support

The current support meta is all about hard engage follow by poke supports type

Getting priority in the lane is still important especially with early game junglers like Olaf being the dominant junglers you need to be able to support them by either setting up ganks or whit rotations to help whit mid ganks, drakes or invades on the enemy jungler.

Support items currently the best items to build are tanky CDR and HP stats, Zeke's, Knights Vow and Solari are the main items you get for the s tier supports, also you can hold the lane more properly since they buffed HP and mana sustain on support items.

Tank supports like Leona, Nautilus, and, Thresh are dominant followed by Rakan, Senna, Nami, Pyke, and Braum, but look out by niche picks like Alistar, Taric, and, Shaco.

Lastly depending on dominant dragons you need to adapt to the map, besides cloud most drakes change the terrain which means you need to think properly while warding the map.

Tracking the jungler is still really important to help other lanes and decided your own jungler next step, you can also help whit getting priority in the lane for either jungler invade, roams to mid-top lane or for drakes rift.

And this is it! The best guide for patch 10.1 that you can't lose! Make sure you check all the profiles of the boosters that made this blog post possible. I'll be leaving their profiles down below!

Teamfight Tactics

EB24 about Teamfight Tactics #9 - Current meta on Patch 10.1 from a Booster perspective

Patch 10.1 has seen many new comps rise into prominence - the introduction of two very strong units in Karma and Leona, as well as the nerfs to Blender has shaken up the meta. Comps which were previously close to unplayable, such as Rangers and Lights, have become very strong in the new patch.

The biggest shift in the meta is the absence of Assassins. The death of Blender has resulted in almost no assassins in the current meta, enabling full damage builds on previously mediocre ranged carries such as Twitch, Sivir, Kog’Maw, and Lux.

Important Changes

  • Synergies

Druid

Druid Health Regen: 40 ⇒ 45

These buffs, although seemingly insignificant, have brought Woodland Druid back into play. The last patch, Woodland Druid was strong early but didn’t see play due to how costly it was to transition out of them. This patch, they are the best early game comp in the game, and multiple players per high elo lobby use them despite the difficulty of transitioning.

Light

Light Attack Speed Bonus: 15%/25%/35% ⇒ 15%/35%/55%

6 piece light has received a massive buff - so much so that Yorick and Lucian was nerfed mid-patch. In 9.24, Lights were considered very weak to borderline unplayable. Now, 6 Light is a premier comp that can snag first place.

Ocean

Ocean Mana Regen (per 4 seconds): 15/30/60 ⇒ 10/30/60

The nerfs to 2 Ocean make the two-piece synergy virtually worthless. Compositions which previously relied on 2 Ocean, such as Summoner Assassin and Electric Wardens, are much weaker in the new patch. These nerfs, combined with nerfs to Nami and Amumu, kill the fast level 8 playstyle we saw so much the last patch.

  • Units

Nocturne

Nocturne Attack Speed: 0.75 ⇒ 0.7

Nocturne Attack Damage: 60 ⇒ 55

No longer attacks twice on the spin.

Blademaster Nocturne has been the centerpiece of the meta for nearly two months now. These nerfs finally kill the comp, removing it from prominence. In its place, a new blademaster composition centering around Sivir and Azir has emerged.

Nami

Nami Ability Damage: 150/250/350 ⇒ 100/200/300

Last patch, Nami was used as a good unit to splash in 2 Ocean. These damage nerfs combined with the 2 Ocean nerf have reduced Nami from a meta-defining unit that is first priority on late-game carousels to a “nice-to-have” unit that would be sold to make econ.

Amumu

Amumu Stun Duration: 2/2/2 ⇒ 1.5/2/5

Amumu Ability Damage: 150/250/1337 ⇒ 100/200/1337

Amumu Starting/Total Mana: 50/125 ⇒ 75/150

Amumu was hit threefold - his mana, damage, and stun duration were all nerfed. Amumu’s nerfs in combination with Nami’s have resulted in a more aggressive meta - while these units are still strong, players no longer rush 8 specifically looking for them.

  • Items

Last Whisper

Critical hits reduce the target’s Armor by 90% for 3 seconds. This effect does not stack.

A solid item in combination with Infinity Edge. This item is top tier in Rangers and can be run in Berserkers and Blademasters as well.

Titan’s Resolve

When the wearer is hit or inflicts a critical strike, they gain a 2% stacking damage bonus, up to 100%. At 50 stacks, the wearer gains 25 Armor and MR; and increases in size. Resets every round.

One of the worst items in the game. However, the additional damage on Titan’s Resolve is multiplicative, which makes it a good item when you have three of them. Triple Titan’s Resolve is solid on tanks such as Maokai, Skarner, or Mundo, or in combination with Jeweled Gauntlet on Singed.

Bramble Vest

Negates bonus damage from incoming critical hits. On being hit by a Basic Attack, deal 80/120/160 magic damage to all nearby enemies (once every 1 second maximum). Scales with wearer’s Star Level.

A solid early game item, but falls off later. It is usually made when you have two vests but is not strong enough to specifically go for on carousel.

Frozen Heart

25% attack speed slow ⇒ 40% attack speed slow

1 second debuff duration ⇒ 0.5 second debuff duration

Frozen heart remains weak, especially with the nerf to its debuff duration. It is stronger than before but still sees almost no play.

Iceborn Gauntlet

After casting a spell, the wearer’s next basic attack freezes the target for 1.5 seconds.

Prior to the patch, many high elo players speculated it would be strong on Ezreal in combination with Seraph’s. However, the item is too weak to see the play, and no high elo players are building this item.

Ionic Spark

Enemies within 3 hexes that cast a spell are zapped, taking magic damage equal to 200% of their max Mana.

Ionic Spark received a buff as well. However, like Frozen Heart, it is not strong enough to see the play. The item is occasionally built on Singed when Morellonomicon is not available.

  • Comps to Run

Berserkers

When to go?
If you have some Volibears early, you can start building your comp around him. Locket of The Iron Solari can help you survive the early game. Later on, you want to focus on your Olaf items, core items would be RFC and Infinity Edge. Morellonomicon can be used on Singed for the poison variation. Berserker Axe can be used on Khazix for Desert synergy, in that case, replace him with Jax.

Blademaster Summoner

When to go?

If you are able to get an early Spatula, which you are going to use to turn Azir into a Blademaster. For early game, you can use Renekton, since he is a solid unit, and pairs nicely with Azir and Sivir. This comp is very flexible and has many variations depending on what you need. You want to prioritize stacking items on your two main carry units Azir and Sivir. Infinity Edge, Red Buff, Hush can be used on Sivir, for Azir you want to build Jeweled Gauntlet, Spear of Shojin.

Soulbound Light

When to go?

When you open with a lot of light units and also have good items for Lucian and Senna.

Core items would be Giant Slayer-Hush-Infinity Edge for Lucian, and GA-Morello for Senna. Guardian Angel can be a priority item on your Senna as it works really well with the Soulbound trait, for Lucian you want to focus on Giant Slayer. If you got an extra GA use it on Yorick since he can use it very well.

Rangers-Warden-Poison

When to go?
If you start your game with some Bows-Bf swords. Early game you can use Kog'Maw and Predators, they can provide you a strong start, mid-game you should start picking up core pieces for your comp and based on what you get and how fast transition out of Predators. As well-paired Rangers + Wardens can be used for early game. Twitch should be your main carry, so stack him with Infinity Edge-Last Whisper, Ashe can be used as your second carry, Statikk Shiv works good on her, as well Red Buff+Hurricane can help a lot. Any other items that you can’t use can go on your front line, such as Morello, Frozen Heart, Redemption.

And these are the best comps to play right now on patch 10.1! We hope you win a lot of games and if you don't, you can always purchase a Duo Boosting service a Solo Boosting service or even TFT coaching to learn more about the game and improve! EB24 about League of Legends #8 Itemization, Patch 9.24 - from the Booster perspective
League of Legends

EB24 about League of Legends #8 Itemization, Patch 9.24 - from the Booster perspective

With this new patch, we needed to create a new guide for those who love to know what's meta and so here's the best items for each champion that is on the best spots for the patch 9.24!

  • Top

For top lane, the builds for all top laners follow basically the same path, it may only vary on the enemy team but here are the best ones for:

1. Aggressive gameplay:

- Trinity Force

- Ravenous Hydra

- Black Clever

- Sterak's Gage

2. Defensive/Tanky build:

- Titanic Hydra (This shall be the first item if you're playing Shen)

- Thornmail

- Abyssal Mask

- Adaptive Helm

- Warmog's Armor

  • Jungler

On jungler, the builds may vary from champion to champion and sometimes, I can have multiple builds depending on the enemy team and how the game plays out so here are the best builds for each S and A tiers.

1. Graves:

On Graves I can do 3 different builds:

First build:

Warrior > Black Cleaver > Phantom Dancer > Infinity Edge >Deaths Dance > Boots depends

Second build:

Warrior > Drakthar > Youmu > Edge of Night > Mortal reminder > Boots depends

Third build*:

Warrior > Stormrazor > Cloak of Agility > Cloak of Agility > Cloak of Agility > Rapid fire cannon > Infinity Edge > Phantom dancer

*This build gives you 100% critical and is played by every critical champion.

2. Nidalee:

Runic Echo > Sorc boots or Oblivion Orb > Lich bane > Rabadon or Zhonya > Rabadon or Void staff

If they have more than 2 assassins (like Zed or Kha'Zix), you can go Oblivion Orb and Zhonyas. If more than 3 enemies have +120 MR, go for void Staff and not Rabadon.

3. Ekko:

Runic echos > Protobelt > Zhonyas > Lich bane > Rabadon > If they have more than 2 Hard CC champs, then buy mercs

4. Lee Sin:

Warrior > Black Cleaver > Sterak's Gage > Guardian Angel > A tank item depending on the enemy team > Boots depends too

5. Nocturne:

Warrior > Sanguine Blade > Black Cleaver > Guardian Angel > Edge of Night > Boots depends

6. Rek'Sai:

Warrior > Black Cleaver > Sterak's Gage > Guardian Angel > Depending on the game, you can either buy an offensive item or a defensive one > Boots depends too

7. Kha'Zix:

Warrior > Drakthar > Black Cleaver > Edge of Night > Guardian Angel > boots depends

8. Ornn:

Cinderhulk > Abyssal Mask > Ice Born Gauntlet

On Ornn there are 3 core items, the rest of the build will depend on the game and comp.

  • Mid

Items for most of the meta mid champions are quite similar, here are the best items:

If your champion is AP:

- Archangel's Staff& Rod of Ages (Best for Cassio, Ryze and Kassadin)

- Morellonomicon

- Zhonya's Hourglass

- Hextech Gunblade (Best for Katarina and Akali)

- Liandry's Torment (Situational item)

- Rylai's Crystal Scepter (Best for: Cassio and Aurelion)

If your champions is AD:

Lethality items are very optional and situational.

If you are ahead, you should go for:

- Youmuu's Ghostblade, Duskblade of Draktharr and finish with GA or Last Whisper

If you're behind or even:

- Duskblade of Draktharr & Edge of Night/Sanguine Blade

  • AD Carry

The builds for AD Carry can vary from champion to champion and also have situational items that you can use. Here's the list!

1. Caitlyn:

Stormrazor > Infinity Edge > Rapid Fire Cannon

Once you have these core items, you can go for a situational item or another critical item.

2. Kai'Sa:

AP Build:

Manamune > Guinsoo's > Nashoor Tooth's

If you don't need any situational item, you can go for Rabadon's Deathcap

AD Build:

Stormrazor > Guinsoo's > Hurricane

If you don't need any situational item, go for Infinity Edge

3. Lucian:

There are two ways of building Lucian.

One way:

Botrk > Essence Reaver > Infinity Edge/Phantom Dancer/Rapid Fire Cannon

Second way:

Essence Reaver > Infinity Edge > Rapid Fire Cannon

4. Jhin:

Stormrazor > Rapid Fire Cannon > Infinity Edge

Once you have these core items, you can go for a situational item or another critical item.

5. Xayah:

Essence Reaver > Rapid Fire Cannon > Infinity Edge

Once you have these core items, you can go for a situational item or another critical item.

6. Miss Fortune:

Essence Reaver> Rapid Fire Cannon> Infinity Edge

Once you have these core items, you can go for a situational item or another critical item.

7. Draven:

Bloodthirster > Infinity Edge > Rapid Fire Cannon

Once you have these core items, you can go for a situational item or another critical item.

8. Senna:

Manamune > Duskblade > Youmuu's

Once you have these core items, you can go for a situational item or another lethality item (Edge of Night mostly).

9. Aphelios:

Essence Reaver > Hurricane > Infinity Edge

Once you have these core items, you can go for a situational item or another critical item.

10. Ezreal:

Manamune > Trinity Force (Gives a lot of power) / Iceborn Gauntlet (Makes you a lot harder to kill, great against AD team comps) > Botrk > Situational Item

11. Tristana:

Stormrazor > Rapid Fire Cannon > Infinity Edge

Once you have these core items, you can go for a situational item or another critical item.

  • Situational Items

Every ADC after 2/3 core items, have to decide and build some items from the list below:

1. Maw of Malmortius

Strong vs AP Teamcomps, gives AD, CDR, MR, with a passive that gives you shield, life steal, and AD.

2. Phantom Dancer

Item that gives you AS/CRIT/MS and shield vs both types of damage, useful on ADC that builds crit items (Tristana, Aphelios, Xayah, Miss Fortune, Draven)

3. Guardian Angel

After getting killed, you respawn with 50% of your base hp, gives AD/ARMOR. It's a very good item vs strong assassins

4. Quicksilver Sash

Item that remove one CC, useful vs team comps with a lot of CC or vs CC that will kill you when you will get them (Malzahar, Leona, Warwick, works vs Mordekaiser ult as well)

5. Bloodthirster

Gives AD/life steal, passive that grants you shield, good on champions that need life steal but they depend more on AD than attack speed (Draven)

6. Lord Dominik's Regards

Gives AD/ Armor pen, good vs tanks, when you don't play a champion that has % dmg, like Kai'Sa, Kog'Maw, Vayne

7. Mortal Reminder

Gives AD/Armor pen, 10% less armor pen than Lord Dominik's, but your auto attacks apply Grievous Wounds

  • Support

Here's the best items for Support and why:

Situational Items: Doran Shield, Corruption Pots

Good sustain in lane early especially good vs poke lanes as a tank support.

Steel Shoulderguards:

Standard starting item, the extra ad helps you in the laning phase when trading and csing, plus the HP helps you out as a support tank.

Zeke's Convergence:

Zeke's keeps being the standard build for tank support since it is still strong in the meta due to the amount of damage in the game you need a hard tanky engage on your team and is usually coming from the support or jungler.

It gives both CDR and resistances plus the active damage and slow, all this makes this item pretty strong at the moment.

Knight's Vow:

Another good item that could be a starter if the enemy team has a full ad comp, it gives CDR armor and HP and the ability to link is really useful to keep your carries alive.

Locket of the Iron Solari:

Usually the 2-3 item after the other 2 mentioned above, it gives heavy MR and the active shield to prevent damage for you and your teammates.

You always wanna build this after some HP and resistances unless you really in need for some heavy MR early.

Mobility Boots:

Essential support item to rush since you no longer need to invest money on the support item, it is really easy to rush it on the early game.

Mercury boots:

It's usually the best combination with Zeke's if the enemy team has a decent amount of magic damage and CC. You don't wanna rush Locket of the Iron Solari as 1st item.

Ninja Tabi: Useful against heavy ad-team comps, especially in combination with Knights Vow.

And this is it! The best items and builds for all the best champions in the meta at the moment. Not something out of the world but surely a great help for those who want to improve. Some think the building doesn't affect the game, but now more than ever, the items you build, affects your game big time!

For the curious ones, all the boosters behind these great guides for this patch, will be displayed down below so you can check their profile and maybe assign them your order! EB24 about League of Legends #7 Current meta, Patch 9.24 - from the Booster perspective

The new patch 9.24 is already live and we couldn't let you know the best champions and the new meta brought with this new patch! We've made a research with our boosters and here are the results of the new meta for patch 9.24!

  • Top

The current drake meta summed up with a huge bot influence into the game, making the top laner pick a very late game champion or one with a good initiation or team fight skills.

Split push is still a big deal, the champion you play on top lane needs to have an opportunity to duel or at least keep the enemy top laner in the lane, without giving him the chance to roam. On solo queue, the more you stomp top, the better it is for you, but there are some games that you simply cannot do this on your own, in that case, a supportive champion is a very good choice.

This patch, we saw some small buffs on Gnar and a Garen adjustment which, to be honest, isn’t an issue for top lane. The biggest change was the nerf on Conqueror, resulting in several changes on our tier list.

Tier list for Top

The champions I would like to highlight are:

Conqueror Kled - Very strong champion 1v1, unkillable with his ability to go on his riding form almost instantly after drop. Great at split push, one of the best ability to start team fights as a team with a slight advantage.

Grasp Shen – After the Conqueror meta started to dominate top lane, Shen as a champion with the ability to resist against auto-attack champions and with a high influence at bot lane/objectives after hitting 6, Shen started to be picked way more often and became a pretty solid pick on the current meta.

Conqueror Camille – I would personally choose Camille as the MVP of the top lane. She is the real split push monster with the ability to catch people off position. If Camile is ahead, she can almost 1v9 every game as a champion with great mobility, damage,, and lock-in.

Vision control on top lane has only 2 ways:

- If you are ahead, you can place a control ward on the new bush nearby the river when playing on the red side. When playing on the blue side, you should just probably place it in the tri bush.

- If you are even or losing, you can try to protect your tri bush control ward or place wards that can give you information about an incoming dive.

Runes for Top lane

You basically only have 2 choices: Grasp of the Undying or Conqueror. Here are some typical options to choose from in almost every case.

Runes #1:

First Rune: Precision

Going for:

- Conqueror

- Triumph

- Legend: Alacrity

- Last Stand

Second Rune: Inspiration

- Magical Footwear

- Biscuit Delivery

Runes #2:

First Rune: Resolve

Going for:

- Grasp of the Undying

- Demolish

- Bone Plating

- Overgrowth

Second Rune: Inspiration

- Magical Footwear

- Biscuit Delivery

  • Jungler

9.24 is almost the same as 9.23, the only differences are a new Graves build due to the changes in a few runes and the nerf on drakes. Especially the Ocean soul nerf. Also, every drake is getting a nerf which doesn't affect the jungle that much, because only the ocean soul is the most important. The quantity to get the drake soul is still the same.

Tier list for Jungler

Low base stats on jungle camps, lowered respawn timers means Graves and Nidalee will be on the stage. I placed Ekko and Lee Sin on S tier too because they are overbuffed. Nocturne is super good with the new Sanguine Blade and has a decent clear speed. I usually pick him if the enemy has 2 or more split pushers. Rek'Sai is a unique pick for me but I think it's still playable for anyone. Her scalings and clear speed are abnormally high. Kha'Zix is on the list because of the jungle camp resist nerfs. Although Nimbus Cloak rework hurts him a little bit, he is still good with the R evolved. Ornn is very good if you want to play a tank jungler. He doesn't need aftershock and his passive makes him the best tank in the game.

  • Mid

The patch 9.24 and 9.24b brought us a lot of changes. Even though the playstyle is constant, the tier list changed a lot, so let's start.

The biggest change is the conqueror nerf for ranged champions (half of the healing and overall duration nerf from 8s-6s), it has a big influence in our S-tier and bring some new champions into the top of our ladder.

There were some nerfs for Kassadin, Ryze and Akali but they didn't seem to make the champions weaker, because they are still very flexible being late game champs with a great conqueror use.

The champion, we would like to highlight is Heimerdinger who received 2 big nerf (conqueror + W and E nerf). He won't be dominating the lane that much as in the previous patch which I guess is great news for all the melee mid laner players.

Tier list for Mid

The champions I would like to highlight are:

Conqueror Kassadin – A monster in the late-game, conqueror gives him even more healing and with the presence of mind he received some mana buffs. Even though he received a little adjust, he is currently one of the strongest mid due to conqueror nerf for ranged champs such as Ryze or Heimer.

Conqueror Katarina – Same as Kassadin, she received a great opportunity to use her melee form as her advantage. She is a great assassin with great roam potential and high kill pressure. Everybody knows what a fed Katarina looks like!

Electrocute Qiyana – Still one of my favorite picks, especially with the new ad items adjustments, she is just amazing – poke, mobility, aoe damage, aoe cc

Even with conqueror nerf, the runes are still the same:

Runes #1:

First Rune: Domination

Going for:

- Electrocute

- Sudden Impact

- Eyeball Collection

- Ravenous Hunter

Second Rune: Inspiration

- Biscuit Delivery

- Time Warp Tonic

Runes #2:

First Rune: Precision

Going for:

- Conqueror

- Presence of Mind

- Legend: Tenacity

- Coup de Grace

Second Rune: Domination

- Taste of Blood

- Ravenous Hunter

Vision is still concentrated on objectives, mostly on drake. We ward pixel bush in about 3,5 min into the game because of the slow jungling and exp changes. Deep control wards are still very beneficial (at red when you play at the red side and on the bush nearest the wolf camp when you are playing on the blue side).

If you have advantage on mid you can help with vision around bot side and ward the new bush at the enter from river.

  • AD Carry

In patch 9.24, two of the strongest ADC's are Miss Fortune and Aphelios. Miss Fortune is very strong because of her obnoxious Doran's blade stacking and being tanky with a lot of life steal as well as damage, and Aphelios because of his AoE flamethrower(infernum) and his Chakram(crescendum) which has a turret that does Aphelios auto-attack damage (I.e. he can crit and AoE if he has his flamethrower as a secondary weapon at the same time), there's also the fact that people still don't know how to play against him and that causes a lot of issues and frustration.

Senna got heavily nerfed on this patch, every spell she has and even her passive. Now she stacks her passive later into the game and has overall less damage and cc that's why she will be dropping from S tier and she will be just below Aphelios and Miss Fortune.

Tier list for ADC

Bot lane has became more impactful in the preseason because of the importance of drakes consequently winning/having priority in bot lane has become more important than ever and one of the most oppressive champions in the bot lane is Caitlyn. This happens because of her range and poking with sustain, she currently outranges almost every adc in the meta. The only few champions that can stand their ground against her in lane are Ashe/Senna/Jinx and one of those got heavily nerfed which means Caitlyn has even less competition than she did previously and bot lanes like Senna and Caitlyn are so oppressive that it’s almost unplayable, they both just outrange you super hard. Senna stacks her passive without worrying about taking cs because she is a support and Caitlyn adds to that anytime she can.

One of the more non-traditional marksmen that have been creeping up in the bot lane is Cassiopeia. She’s one of the most overturned champions in 9.24 even though Conqueror got nerfed this patch for ranged champions, and it heals less and has a lower duration to make some of them stray away from it, it doesn’t affect Cassio as much because her damage is just absurd and she stacks conqueror quite fast. She’s constantly fighting you if she hits her q so her conqueror stacks won’t fall off. She’s also quite good with champions like Thresh/Leona/Nautilus because they can set up her q and w quite nicely and all you have to do is just follow up and easily kill them, she continuously becomes stronger and stronger after 2 items and is a nightmare to play against.

  • Support

The current S tiers remain the same, while some of the other supports got some significant nerfs and buffs. Also, some of the ADC's got buffs like Ezreal and Sivir.

Roaming supports might become more viable although winning the lane is still important, Rift also got a decent buff so you wanna make sure to support your jungler with roams or tracking the enemy jungler. Make sure you can assist the jungler on the ganks and rotations to the jungler or the mid-top rift lane as long you win your lane, you can secure the win.

Tier list for Support

S-tier:

Remains unchanged, the recent changes were focused on nerfs to some of the poke supports and small buffs to champions like Braum and Karma that really needed it to survive lanes against the S tier picks, also with the Rift changes early roam could be rewarded more properly, still winning lane is more important at the moment for dragon control.

A-tier:

Braum got some decent buffs focused on himself rather than the shared buffs for his allies, w now gives more Armor MR if he uses it on himself and it cost less mana, while his R now does more damage and knocks longer with levels.

Thresh remains the same. With Aftershock and E, he can keep up with ranged supports but still not as strong as them.

Karma got a decent buff on his shield so she can at least help her teammates survive. You need a lot of pressure to win the lane with Karma. You can either get help from the jungler or from a good adc. She also counters Morgana, so she is a good situational pick.

Morgana can counter the S-tier picks early game but you gotta try to combine her with Caitlyn, otherwise she is not as strong in lane.

Lastly, Senna got some significant nerfs so far she seems a bit weaker on ADC but as support is almost virtually the same at least you won't be seeing her on all lanes.

And this is it! The best guide for patch 9.24 is already here with a lot of new information and a lot of things, you need to learn!
