What League of Legends Coaching Actually Costs

LoL coaching on EB24 is priced per session or per package, not per rank. What you pay depends on the format you book and the coach tier you pick, not on how high you want to climb. Every coach on the League of Legends coaching roster is a verified player who sets their own rate, so the ranges below describe the real spread you will see when you open the search above.

For a fast feel: a single VOD review with a Regular coach usually sits in the low two-figure range, while a multi-session structured climb plan with a Pro-tier coach who plays Challenger reaches the high two or low three figures. A one-off live game review lands in between. You are paying for the coach's time and rank context, not for a guaranteed division.

What moves the price of a LoL coaching session

Coach tier does most of the work
A Pro-tier coach who actively plays Master, Grandmaster or Challenger charges more than a Regular coach in Platinum, because the gap analysis they give a climbing player is sharper. If you are stuck in Jungle at Gold, a strong Elite coach is usually the better value than the most expensive Pro on the roster.
Session format sets the floor
An asynchronous VOD review is the cheapest entry point because the coach reviews your replay on their own time. A live session or co-pilot block costs more because the coach is in the lobby with you in real time.
Role specialisation matters
Coaches price for the role they main. A Support specialist reviewing a Support player gives more transferable advice than a generalist, so role-matched coaching tends to convert into rank faster even when the headline rate is similar.
Packages lower the per-session cost
Booking a multi-session package almost always reduces the per-session price versus buying one review at a time, and it lets the coach track your progress across games instead of grading a single snapshot. Most climbers see more movement from three reviews spaced a week apart than from one long session.

Indicative LoL coaching rates by format and coach tier

The table below is a reference snapshot of the rate spread you will see on the roster. Use it to sanity-check a listing before you book. Regular coaches are verified Platinum to Diamond players, Elite coaches sit Diamond to Master, and Pro coaches actively play Master to Challenger.

RankRegular coachElite coachPro coach
VOD review (single replay)$10 – $20$18 – $35$30 – $60
Live game session$18 – $30$28 – $50$45 – $90
Co-pilot block (in-lobby)$25 – $45$40 – $70$65 – $130
Structured climb plan (multi-session)$60 – $110$95 – $180$160 – $320

Indicative ranges in USD. Each coach sets their own rate, so the live roster above is the source of truth. These values exist to give you a feel before you open a chat.

Types of League of Legends Coaching

Not every player needs the same format. A laning-phase problem is best fixed with a focused VOD review, while a decision-making or tilt problem usually needs a coach watching you play live. Below is what good LoL coaching covers, and which format fits which goal.

What a strong session reviews

  • Laning fundamentals: wave management, trading patterns, recall timing
  • Macro and map state: when to roam, group, or play for objectives
  • Role-specific habits: jungle pathing, support roaming, ADC positioning
  • Champion pool: whether your picks fit your rank and the current meta
  • Review of your own replays, not a generic lecture on theory

What separates a review from a lesson

  • A written summary of two or three habits to fix before the next game
  • Concrete benchmarks (CS at 10, vision score, deaths per game) to track
  • A short follow-up window to ask questions after you apply the notes
  • Honest feedback on champion pool size, narrow pools climb faster
  • Mental and tilt management, which decides more low-Elo games than mechanics

The four coaching formats and when each one fits

"Which coach" is the second question. The first is "which format", because the right format depends on the problem you are trying to solve, not on your budget.

VOD review, the diagnostic entry point
The coach watches a replay you pick and breaks down your mistakes with timestamps. Best for laning-phase issues, CS problems and recurring deaths you cannot explain. Cheapest format and the fastest way to learn whether a coach communicates in a way that works for you. Browse coaches offering VOD reviews.
Live session, real-time correction
The coach watches you queue and play, then corrects decisions while they are fresh. Best for tilt, decision speed and reading the map, things that do not show up cleanly in a calm replay review. See coaches offering live sessions.
Co-pilot, guided in-lobby play
The coach is in voice with you during your own ranked or normal games, calling shotcalls and macro live. Best for players who freeze under pressure and need reps with a safety net. Find co-pilot coaches.
Structured climb plan, multi-week
A package of sessions with homework and benchmarks between each one. Best for players serious about a tier jump who want accountability across several weeks rather than a single fix. Explore structured climb plans.

What coaching will not do

Coaching teaches you to climb. It is not the same product as someone playing for you, and any coach promising the items below is misrepresenting the service.

  • Guarantee a specific rank by a specific date
  • Play your ranked games for you (that is boosting, a different service)
  • Replace the practice you do between sessions
  • Fix a champion pool you refuse to narrow
  • Turn a one-hour session into a permanent rank without follow-through

LoL Coaching by Role and Server

Role-matched coaching transfers fastest. A Jungle coach reviewing a Jungle player can talk pathing and tempo in a way a generalist cannot, and a coach on your own server understands the meta and ping environment you actually play in. Filter the roster by the role you want to improve and the server you queue on.

How to Book LoL Coaching and Get the Most From It

Booking is the easy part. Getting rank out of a session takes a little preparation. The habits below separate players who climb after coaching from players who book once, take no notes, and stay where they were.

Pick the format before the coach
Decide whether your problem is laning (book a VOD review) or decision-making under pressure (book a live session). Choosing the format first stops you from overpaying for a Pro co-pilot when a focused replay review would have fixed the issue.
Bring a specific problem, not "help me climb"
A coach can do far more with "I keep dying on recalls bot lane" than with "I want to reach Diamond". Pick one or two recurring mistakes and a replay that shows them. A narrow brief turns a single session into a measurable fix.
Match the coach to your role
A Support specialist will give a Support player sharper notes than a Mid main will. Role-matched coaching converts into rank faster, so filter by your role before you compare prices.
Book on your own server when it matters
For macro and meta-specific advice, a coach on your own server understands the ping, queue times and meta you live in. For pure mechanics and theory, server matters less, so do not pay a premium for it if your problem is laning fundamentals.
Use a package if you are serious
One review tells you what is wrong. A multi-session plan holds you to fixing it. If your goal is a tier jump rather than a single answer, the per-session discount and the accountability both pay off.
Apply the notes before booking again
The biggest waste in coaching is booking session two before you have practised the homework from session one. Play ten to fifteen games applying the notes, then come back. The follow-up review is far more useful when the coach can see whether the habit actually changed.

Every booking runs through EB24 escrow and chat, so payment is held until the session is delivered and you can message the coach beforehand to confirm fit. Ready to start? Open the League of Legends coaching roster, filter by your role and server, and read a few coach profiles before you commit.

Choosing the Right LoL Coach

The roster has coaches at every tier and price. The rules below describe how experienced climbers pick, so you book the coach who actually moves your rank rather than the one with the highest advertised tier.

  • Match the coach to your problem, not to their peak rank. A Diamond coach who explains laning clearly beats a Challenger who cannot teach.
  • Read the coach profile and reviews. Coaches with completed sessions and detailed feedback histories tend to communicate in a structured, repeatable way.
  • Prefer a coach who mains your role. Role-matched advice transfers to your own games faster than generic theory.
  • Start with one VOD review before committing to a package. It is the cheapest way to test whether a coach explains things in a way that clicks for you.
  • Confirm the deliverable in chat first: a written summary, timestamps and benchmarks. A session with no takeaways you can act on is hard to convert into rank.
  • If your goal is the rank itself rather than the skill, compare coaching against LoL division boosting or net wins boosting, they solve a different problem and sometimes fit the goal better.

Coaching or boosting: which fits your goal

When coaching is the right call
Choose coaching when you want to stay at your new rank, when you keep losing to the same mistakes, or when you enjoy the game and want to get better at it. Coaching builds skill that stays with the account.
When boosting fits better
Choose division boosting or placement matches when you need a rank by a deadline and do not have time to climb yourself. It moves the rank but does not teach you to hold it.
The combined play
Many climbers pair a climb plan with duo boosting: the duo carries the immediate placement while the coaching builds the habits that keep you there once the boost ends.
When to skip both
If you are early in a new season and the meta has just shifted, a few weeks of self-review with a single VOD check-in is often enough. Spend on a full plan once you know which specific habit is holding you back.

Good starting points on the roster

How EB24 Verifies League of Legends Coaches

A coaching roster is only as good as the people on it. Here is how a coach gets onto the League of Legends roster, what we check, and what protects you once you book.

Rank and identity verification
Every coach proves their current rank and account ownership before they can list. A coach who claims Challenger has to show it. This is why the tier labels on the roster mean what they say.
Profile and product review
Each coaching product, whether a VOD review or a multi-session plan, is reviewed for a clear deliverable before it goes live. Vague "I will help you climb" listings without a defined output do not pass.
Escrow on every booking
Payment is held in escrow and released to the coach after the session is delivered. If a session is not delivered as described, the funds are protected. You never pay a coach directly outside the platform.
Reviews tied to real sessions
Only buyers who completed a paid session can leave a review, so the rating on a coach profile reflects delivered coaching, not marketing. Read them before you book.
Role and server tagging
Coaches are tagged by the role they main and the servers they play, so the filters above surface coaches who actually fit your queue rather than a generic list.
One ecosystem, one standard
The same verification that powers the EB24 League of Legends marketplace and boosting service applies to coaching. A coach is held to the same identity and delivery standard as every other seller on the platform.

Booked a session that did not match the description? Open a chat from the coach profile or the order and our team steps in. Feedback from booked sessions feeds straight back into which coaches stay on the roster.
