Be ready, summoners, the new mid-set update, 8.5 Glitched Out, is finally here!

A lot of champions, synergies, augments, and CAROUSELS are ready to be discovered by players.

First things first, let’s start with the champions!

Let’s say goodbye to the 15 champions that got removed in this update, including a few of the favorite carries in the last patches, like Soraka, Zed, and the mighty Aphelios! All of them did a great job fighting alongside us in the last 3 months, but it’s time for other powerful heroes to join the battle!

Riftwalker and Infiniteam are the 2 new main synergies that would consist of the core of some comps in set 8.5. Riftwalker is only a 3 piece synergy that doesn’t increase directly the power of its champions, but it summons a Zac that is used to copy +1 of the other synergies of the Riftwalker champions. You want to keep Zac close to Vex if you gonna run her as the main carry in the mascots comp to reach easier the 6 mascots more, or you can put Zac next to Jhin for +1 Renegade to maybe reach the 5 or 7 breakpoints with Viego, Camille, Leona and Sylas. You rarely want to put Zac and Pyke together, because the only use of Hacker in this comp is to sometimes send Viego in the enemy backline.

On the other hand, Infiniteam is a strong early-game synergy that allows you to copy one of your Infiniteam champions, but with fewer stats. This trait shows its real power in the late game if you manage to find Ezreal and itemize him properly. The blonde kid will spawn his clones from portals when he casts and the enemy team will disappear in a blink of an eye!

Those are the new champions that didn’t bring too many things innovations to the game, but they are doing a great job replacing their predecessors!

Warwick is the star in the Laser Corps composition and Neeko is the new AP nightmare in the Star Guardians!

An interesting mechanic implemented this set, by the name of the set I think you can guess, are the GLITCHED carousels. Besides the feature of items popping off the champions after you take them from carousels, now every carousel has some interesting thing to offer to the players, from double components and tome of traits to Champion Duplicators and Glitched Eggs! They are similar to the Golden Egg from Augment, or with the Draconic Eggs in set 5. After you take them on the carousel, it will take 3 to 9 rounds, depending on the size of the egg, for it to hatch and give you the rewards!

My composition recommendation for this patch would be 4 Ox forces with 4 Spellslingers, with Twisted Fate as your main carry! After the Warwick and Hackers nerfs in the B-patch, this will be one of the most oppressive boards in the next week.

The main reason for it is the huge amount of frontline the newly reworked Ox Forces provide. They give INFINITEAM frontline for the card master to show his tricks. The most important item for him is Statikk Shiv, because he procs it so often with his ability to deal with cards. The other 2 items can be whatever AP damage items, like Guardbreaker, Giant Slayer, Jeweled Gauntlet or some healing with Gunblade. Any leftover AP items can go on Neeko, and your main tanks are Annie and Ekko. Put the comp online and watch the enemies suffer and get demolished!
