Modern Warfare 4 lands on Friday, October 23, 2026. That is early for a Call of Duty, which usually launches between late October and mid November, and it puts the game almost a month ahead of GTA 6 on November 19.

Platforms: Next Gen Only, Plus Switch 2

This is the first mainline Call of Duty since 2013 to drop PS4 and Xbox One entirely. If you are still on last generation hardware, MW4 is the point where you need to upgrade.

It is also Call of Duty's return to Nintendo. The Switch 2 version is part of Microsoft's long term agreement with Nintendo, and it is the first Call of Duty on a Nintendo console in over a decade.
