PlayStation Gift Cards Explained: Region Lock, How to Redeem and What to Buy
A PlayStation gift card only works on a PSN account registered in the same country as the card, and it adds funds to your PlayStation Store wallet that you can spend on games, add-ons, PS Plus and in-game currency. Matching the region is the single most important thing to get right, because a card for the wrong country will not redeem.

How PlayStation Gift Card Region Lock Works
Every PSN account has a country set when it was created, and PlayStation only accepts gift cards issued for that country. A UK card will not work on a German account, and a US card will not work on a Polish one. Even within the euro zone, cards are sold per country.
You cannot change your account's country. If the region is wrong, the fix is buying the right card, not changing the account.
To check your country, open your account settings on PS5 or sign in to your account online and look at your account information.
How to Redeem a PlayStation Gift Card
On PS5: open the PlayStation Store, select the menu at the top, choose Redeem Code, and enter the code.
On the web: sign in to the PlayStation Store in your browser, open your profile menu, choose Redeem Code, and enter the code.
The funds land in your wallet straight away. Some regions set an expiry on unredeemed cards, so redeem soon after you buy.

Never share a code before it is redeemed. Whoever enters it first gets the money.
Buy where the region is stated clearly and where payment is protected.
