League of Legends Patch 14.4

Riot Games recently made significant changes to League of Legends with the release of Patch 14.4 These changes include adjustments to champion abilities, item reworks, and gameplay balance. As a booster for Eloboost24 and a player with extensive experience in the game, I'm excited to share my thoughts on these changes and how they impact the gameplay experience.

BUFFS

Kai’Sa

image15.png 62.14 KB

I don't think this buff will change much, but something can change with the buff for the Terminus item. We still need to remember the fact that he is only strong with engaged support, so I don't recommend taking it as a blind choice.

Lulu

image6.png 101.84 KB

I think it can be effective for the support and mid role because it’s a very good buff not only in terms of support but also in terms of damage. Champions with low range are generally not preferred in mid, but when they get a very powerful buff, the situation can change.

Renekton

image10.png 106.87 KB

Renekten had become very weak after the item changes, so this buff makes sense, but I think it has become too strong to be able to get blind pick again because almost every ability has been buffed and these buffs are not small.

Volibear

image9.png 114.73 KB

We can say that AP Volibear is back. I don't understand why they are trying to do this. In the same way, in Twisted Fate, they are choosing to move away from being AP towards AD. But the designs of the champions are not that way. I don't see any other reason other than that, I guess because people have more fun. I can say that Volibear is too strong now, if you are going to play, I recommend you to play with AP/off-tank form.

NERFS

Bard

image5.png 105.83 KB

Bard has been in a very strong position since the item changes and I can say that the Nerf was even late. I think it needed to be nerfed even more. Because a support champion cannot take tank items and deal too much damage. It was against the rules of the game. Still strong and playable.

Fiora

image7.png 62.92 KB

This nerf is directly for 1vs1, because it was not possible to lose trades when you hit your W on the champion, but now it is possible. I think it is a necessary nerf. I can say that Fiora went from very strong to just strong.

Maokai

image1.png 91.15 KB

Maokai has never been a champion who is strong early on, so don't think these nerfs will help much. Maokai is strong because his abilities have low cooldowns and his ability kit contains a lot of slow/root. So I can only say that the Nerf for root will help a bit. He is still very strong and playable, especially for a support role.

ADJUSTED

K’Sante

image3.png 73.34 KB

It's the best adjustment I've seen in a long time. The champion's damage has been reduced and tankiness has been increased, which is exactly what is expected from a tank champion. We'll see it weakened and less preferred in Solo Q, but I can say that it will be chosen more in the professional arena.

ITEMS

Black Cleaver

image4.png 39.15 KB

It's a small buff, but for some champions, it might be preferable, but only as a first item against tanks. (Darius/Urgot…)

Terminus

image11.png 38.5 KB

The problem is that you can only get this item as the 3rd, 4th, or 5th item, so usually when a champion enters the meta, the first item he gets needs to be strengthened. So I can only say that the champions who already bought this item will be in the meta more.

Mage items

Riot Games already said that they would bring a buff to mages in the previous patch, but I didn't expect the buff to be so small. Don't think anything will change, it's a very insufficient buff.

League of Legends Patch 14.4
Baldur's Gate 3: Let the Legacy Continue
Gaming News

Baldur's Gate 3: Let the Legacy Continue

Baldur’s Gate 3 is the third role-playing video game series installment.  Based on the Forgotten Realms setting from Dungeons & Dragons, Baldur’s Gate began its legacy in 1998 with the first of the three games that would be released.  It quickly won a fan base that couldn’t get enough and wanted to see more.

The first of the Baldur’s Gate expansion packs was Tales of the Sword Coast, and it was released six months after the main game.  It spawned three additional expansion packs, each released after Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn and its September 2000 release date.  Its first expansion pack, Baldur’s Gate II: Throne of Bhaal came out in June 2001, six months before Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance came out as the first game’s second expansion pack.

Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II would be the next in line to win over a large fan base of RPGers around the world.  After its January 2004 release, nothing new came from the Baldur’s Gate franchise until 2012.  The Bhaalspawn Saga and the Dark Alliance were two expansion pack series that won critical acclaim for their gameplay mechanics.

Among members of the gaming community who were fans of Baldur’s Gate, eight years was a long wait for one of their favorite video games to show any sign of a revival.  After Atari announced there would be a remake of the previously released Baldur’s Gate games.  In 2012, Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition was released, then followed in 2013 by Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition.

Part of the blame behind the wait came from corporate.  There was intent by Black Isle Studios to bring forth a PC-exclusive RPG series set in the Dalelands with pausable real-time gameplay.  It was to be a standalone game, but it was scrapped after Interplay forfeited the D&D PC license to Atari.

Going into 2016, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear joined the series.  It was followed by 2021’s Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance.  Then, finally, on August 3, 2023, gamers witnessed the Windows release of Baldur’s Gate III.  The console versions are expected to follow that will allow gamers using macOS, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S to join in on the fun.

Baldure’s Gate: Let the Legacy Continue

Since its first release, Baldur’s Gate 3 has received rave reviews from critics and gamers alike.  The third edition of the Baldur’s Gate series takes place a few months after Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus left off, which is also over 120 years after the events of Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn left off.  This makes it the ideal setting for the latest edition to the Baldur’s Gate universe to pick up where its predecessors left off.

The hero of the game, played by the gamer, begins as an imprisoned character by the mind flayers.  As a victim of an implant designed to share the characteristics of mind flayers, the hero becomes free once the prison site was attacked by a team of Githyanki Warriors and their Red Dragons.  After this event, the gamer moves forward in a storyline that meets with another group of characters.  Together, they form a team in another classic tale of good versus evil.

Just like its predecessors, Baldur’s Gate 3 has met with tremendous success as a video game.  On the day it was released, Steam won over 537,000 games which wasted no time jumping on the game.  By August 4, 2023, Steam Early Access had already sold over 2.5 million copies of the game.

League of Legends Patch 13.15 By Tinyy

A blog post about these changes was written by me, Tinyy, one of the best elo boosters from EB24.

Riot Games recently made significant changes to League of Legends with the release of Patch 13.15 These changes include adjustments to champion abilities, item reworks, and gameplay balance. As a booster for Eloboost24 and a player with extensive experience in the game, I'm excited to share my thoughts on these changes and how they impact the gameplay experience.

Let’s start with some BUFFS

Caitlyn

Nice buffs. Buffs that can work both early and late for Caitlyn. But they didn't want to exaggerate too much. I understand the reason, Caitlyn is a marksman who can get straight to the 1st rank even if she gets a little buff. There is an example of this before. Caitlyn had 3 AD per level instead of 2.7. So it was strong enough to either perm ban or perm pick. Overall good buffs definitely playable now.

Gwen

Yes, it is not possible to understand the purpose of this reinforcement for solo q. She was already a strong enough and playable champion. But we shouldn't be looking for solo q here because WORLDS is getting closer and balance changes are more for Pro play. Play it.

Yasuo&Yone

I didn't want to write them separately. Because the buff they get is logically the same for both. They were both strong in solo q anyways. But the problem was they weren’t picked in pro play that often. So this makes sense for pro-play but not for solo q. I prefer you to abuse these champs now because they are really strong.

Taliyah

The Q buff doesn't matter that much. But the E buff will allow the jungle taliyah to enter the meta again. I would also like to remind you that Taliyah is a good choice against many champions currently in the meta(J4, Poppy, Lee Sin, Khazix…)

NERFS

Kai’sa

Kai'sa was in a very strong position due to her item builds. She had the highest ban and picking rate on all servers. Instead of changing items, they preferred to change Kaisa. Of course, when you look logically, changing items will affect a lot of champions, so this is a simpler solution. Kai'sa is in bad shape again. Maybe you have engage support in some positions, but other than that, I don't recommend it. Especially when Caitlyn is back to meta.

Ivern

Ivern is a very special jungler. His play style is very unique. It was nice and logical that they put it in the meta. But it doesn't make any sense that he's getting so many nerfs instead of balancing. Because removing such a unique champion from the game is a minus in terms of different playstyles. Ivern is not playable anymore. Neither in support nor jungle.

Smite and Ultimate summons

Smite

This makes Annie/Ivern/Yorick… a bit stronger. But at the same time, riot nerfed those champions’ ultimates. This makes the jungle role a bit weaker but not a huge difference overall. Lastly, now your smite slows after your 2nd upgrade. Again a Nerf but not that huge.

Night harvester

The only reason they do this is because of the statikk shiv. You could use it with your auto attacks. This is good Nerf for some champions. Especially for Leblanc.

Glacial Augment

This change now requires mid-lanes to get this rune rather than supports. I don't think it will work. But I can say it's a nice Nerf for support. Still usable but we might see more aftershocks now.
